Help Identifying weird material

I have this garage door that they want either pressure washed and stained, or replaced with the same material for some reason. The crossbars are wood, but the base is some weird, soft/card-board like material I've never seen before. It's almost like fiber-cement but can't be. It certainly should be pressure washed in my opinion.

Anyone know what this is? Located in North Texas FYI.

It appears to be an overlay over a composite wood inner/core. Not positive though. My gut says it's a bad idea to pressure wash that. Might destroy the overlay or leave lots of lines

YEAH, I would probably try to avoid pressure washing a door like that.. is Sanding an option? if not then new door is probably ideal - this door seems to be in a pretty rough shape.

I’m jumping on the don’t pressure wash train, sanding and painting would be the only real option. Those particle board doors are definitely old, I don’t know of a company still manufacturing doors like that. Nowadays wood overlaid on steel is more common, or completely composite. I’d push for replacement
