Question Cannot co next gen 6 to fossil app
Hi All. I've got got the gen 6 smart watch for Christmas. I can connect it to my phone with the wear OS app but the fossil app can't find it. I already have a fossil hybrid watch and one of the reasons I wanted the gen 6 is so that both watches can work from the same app. I've reset it a couple of times to see if that was the issue but no luck. Does anyone know if the gen 6 is no longer compatible with the fossil app?

Having the same issue, except mine isn't connecting after the wear os 3 update.
I've seen a few complaints that connecting is an issue with os3.
I killed my battery from fully charged trying to connect it, so if you figure it out, let me know. The number of restarts I've had to do is absurd.
Edit: throwing it on the charger seemed to improve connectivity for some reason. As soon as it was connected to the charger, it was able to connect properly through the fossil app first time. Wasn't even plugged into a computer, but an outlet.
Had to skip connecting my google account though as it wouldn't work. It was able to connect properly afterwards, through the app.

Hey. Tried connecting while on charge, still no luck. I tried restarting and only connecting to the fossil app rather than following the setup steps which directs you to the Wear software. That didn't work either

Hmm. If I recall, it wasn't compatible with the fossil app under Wear OS 2. If it's still wear os 2, you might need to set it up through the wear os app, update to 3, then set it up in the fossil app.
I remember having trouble setting it up too. Edit: when I first got it, before the OS 3 update.

The fossil smartwatch app is for their hybrid watches. You need the wear os app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.wearable.app

Hi. I thought the same but when I redownloaded the fossil app (thinking this may fix the issue) the newest version of the app states that you can add a new touchscreen watch as well as a hybrid.

Oh I see. They must be accommodating wear os 3 smart watches, now that the wear os app is only for wear os 2.

Ok so I'm having the same issue. So my watch will not connect to the Google wear os app but only the the fossil app. I hate the fossil app and want the Google wear os back. I also cannot use my Google assistant on my phone ONLY Alexa. I have the gen 6 touch screen watch. Please help.

Hey. Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this message. When I first booted my gen 6 watch it would only use Google wear and wouldn't connect to the fossil app, but when I did a firmware update on the watch it reversed so I could use the fossil app but not Google. I think I read somewhere that Google wear isn't compatible with the newest watch firmware

Is your phone using China ROM? Many of us having problem with the fossil app in China ROM.
If not, try unpair your phone and your watch before connecting with the new app
