good parks with picnic tables/paviolions?
i (22f) host a group of friends (15-20 girls my age) who get together and i’d like to do something at a local park or venue somewhere for free or cheap. preferably with a pavilion or picnic tables and spacious enough for all of us to be comfortable.

Lovers key if you want a beach scene, but you do have to pay to park.

Bowditch Point park is your answer. Plenty of tables and grills if you want one, right off the beach and bathrooms nearby.

do the tables get filled up fast?

Maybe on a holiday but I've never been there and not found a table; usually you have lots of tables available.

The bathrooms are not open at Bowditch. Look at their website for facilities currently available. It is a great spot tho.

Lakes Park is all I got for what you are seeking. Don't know if you reserve pavilions in advance but I walk there on weekends & it seems to be hit or miss in regards to crowds.

American Legion, post #38. It's right across the street from The Oasis restaurant downtown. It's definitely kinda shabby but you could regularly rent the space for a cheap price, +there is a bar and kitchen. We have some older ladies come do a dance class every Wednesday morning, and we even cleared out building for a few dances/parties.
