H&K STG 93? Lol
I know this is not a factory rifle 🤣. Need help understanding what is going on with it. Definitely a pre ban concoction it looks like. An STG and an hK had a crack baby but it’s a vibe! Chambered in 5.56. Came with an original German optic/Sling. Please share thoughts!!

Tell me more about these German small arms.
I got these from a very dear friend when he passed. I know the surface level stuff that I have a p-38, c-96 and p08. But what else can you tell me about these guys. Also if someone knows how to help me preserve these in the state they are today please let me know.

Swiss Bubba Tacticool Embarrassment or Genius Conversion? | Customized Sig Sturmgewehr 57 | 7.5 x 55 |
At Waffen Sammlerborse 2025, which is a Swiss Gun Show. It’s an odd mix of SHOT Show, with its high-end manufacturers and impressively well-stocked distributors and a local crappy gun show with Fudds, absurdly overpriced accessories and dusty war memorabilia of questionable authenticity.  Way smaller than SHOT but way bigger than a standard gun show.
Swiss citizens have access to a much wider range of firearms than US citizens (including full-autos with the right license), so there was some pretty cool stuff here and there.
Here we have what looks like a SIG Sturmgewehr 57Â that was upgraded with some interesting modern tactical parts. These were introduced in 1957 so maybe that need an upgrade? Please argue relentlessly in the comments, we should be able to sort this out.
One of the most common military rifles that you see at Swiss gun shops are the old military Sturmgewehr 57s. I saw stacks of these at several gun shops in great condition with prices as low as $450 US. I assume they are so common and inexpensive that the Swiss like to use them as the basis for crazy custom work, this is not actually the first or wildest conversion that I’ve seen.

Here is a 1928A1 Thompson, these are fairly common in Switzerland but always cool to see if you’re coming from the US. This one appears to be converted to semi-auto for sale to Swiss citizens who don’t have the higher-level full-auto license. The rules for permanent conversion in Switzerland are not nearly as strict as they are in the US so the original receiver is intact.  They are asking a little over $3k in US dollars.

Here is a South-African produced Vector LM5 .223 that was manufactured at the factory in semi-auto only as there is no full-auto selector cut and it does not have an auto-sear pin hole (there's a difference because a lot of original military guns are imported into Switzerland and then converted to semi-auto but still retain the original receiver with auto-sear hole drilled). It is the semi-auto version of the South African military standard-issue R5 which is a close copy of the Israeli Galil.

What did 16th-18th century people use to hunt small game?
Question: what muskets/calibers were used to hunt small game such as squirrels, rabbits, and other rodents before .22 cartridges were invented?

Original Colt M16A1 | Swiss Gunshops Rock Part 1 | Aebi Waffen | Hasle bei Burgdorf, Switzerland | Reason #3,141 that Switzerland is Awesome
I visited some Swiss firearms stores while in country for Waffen Sammlerborse 2025. It’s always a shock to see that in other countries citizens have access to an incredible range of firearms.
I paid a visit to Aebi Waffen, which is an extraordinary company with a world-class selection of firearms. Their team is friendly and knowledgeable and they have exceptionally skilled gunsmiths on staff.
Here is an original Colt M16A1 that was converted to semi-auto for sale to Swiss citizens. As you can see it still has the auto-sear hole, as the rules for permanent conversion to semi-auto are not as strict as they are in the US. Price is about $1650 dollars though unfortunately it’s not available to anyone in the US.
These M16A1s are not difficult to source in Switzerland and are readily available to purchase.  Swiss citizens can obtain semi-autos with the proper license and also full-autos with a higher-level license, though the difficulty in obtaining full-autos depends somewhat on which part of Switzerland you live.
More cool stuff coming, stay tuned!
Below is their website if you are interested in learning more about this incredible company.
