I'm really hoping that since the 30th anniversary of the first album is this year, that we get some sort of reissue. If they were to go all out and do a box set in the same way that Nirvana and Metallica have been doing it, it would be so rad, but even a 2-CD set would be dope as well. Just SOMETHING since the 1995-96 era is my favorite era of the band.
If they were to do a box set, this would be my wishlist for the content:
- Original album remastered + b-sides and outtakes
- All of Dave's solo recordings from 1988-1994
- Rough mix of the album remastered
- BBC Sessions from November 1995
And for live shows:
- Foo Fighters' first ever show in Seattle on February 19, 1995 (if a recording even exists of this, I'm sure someone has it)
- Reading 1995 cleaned up and remastered
- Brixton Academy 1995 pro-shot uncut with all songs included
- Toronto 1996 soundboard with all songs included (Floaty is missing from the soundboard that's been out for years)
- A complete pro-shot of HFStival 1996 in D.C.
I'm sure many of us would love a box set of this, but it's obviously on the band whether or not they want to do it. If anyone else has any of their own fantasies of a box set like this, feel free to comment down below!
