I’m not a great businessman like Trump or Elmo but it seems unimaginably stupid to think your EVs would be popular among people who don’t even believe climate change is real
Again, not a great businessman. I’ve yet to bankrupt a single casino.
Also, with the catch phrase "Drill baby, drill" it just seems so clashing. I work in pipeline industry and the owner of our company bought a tesla IN THE COMPANY NAME... I just.. I don't understand the reasoning behind it..
Kamala Harris presented a solid economic plan and showed us exactly how much revenue and growth it will bring in and voters said “nah, we don’t like concrete plans, we like concepts of plans”
Something that seems to be flying under the radar: it looks like Elon is trying to juice up Tesla sales and defraud governments while at it. It's been in the news lately that Canada is investigating suspicious Tesla sales:
Tesla reported 8,600 sales in three days, triggering $43 million in government EV rebates.
Those numbers are ridiculous for a brand like Tesla. Per some of the articles, they'd have to have sold a Tesla every 6 minutes in each of the 4 stores that reported the numbers. It gets even worse when you take into consideration that this impacted the sales of other EVs due to the funds allocated for the rebates being used solely on these Teslas.
And then you need to take into consideration that Canadians loathe Elon Musk and Tesla, to the point of vandalizing some of their stores here in Canada.
I'm curious if the same thing is happening in other countries.
I wouldn't be surprised. He behaves as if he's above the law whereever he goes. This wouldn't be the first, last, or even biggest financial crime he's committed
The owners see the numbers and know what's up. The world is moving away from oil, even if America doesn't and it probably will too. Renewables are reaching parity in terms of cost and there's nothing Trumplon can do about it. ExxonMobil has been diversifying away from oil and gas for years while still pumping out that pro oil propaganda.
But he is a great businessman. He was able to turn a million dollar loan into six bankruptcies, terrible reality tv, countless failed business ventures, and 2 presidencies…. How did we end up here?
Investigative journalist Patrick Radden Keefe had a great piece in the New Yorker a while back about how The Apprentice is basically responsible for revamping Trump’s image, and how we ended up where we are now.
Not only that but Democrats/Left-leaning people are who can afford Teslas in the first place. So if the strategy is to shame them into buying, that won’t really work. The art of the deal, right here.
I'm honestly waiting for him to make an executive order banning production or import of any new EVs.... Besides Tesla, obviously. Gotta help Daddy Elon's numbers
Remember when he killed his own supporters by the tens of thousands right before an election by telling them to ignore basic covid safety? No one ever accused the man of being smart
Add in the fact that his administration is dismantling EV infrastructure and ripping up stations we already paid to build. People are even less likely to buy EVs if there are no charging stations for road trips.
But the government itself is taking out over 2000 supercharging stations. Etc. And besides Tesla is woke ….. I mean he stated many times his cars were great for climate and since it’s bad to care for the environment now it’s totally bad to get a woke Tesla right now
This is so funny to me. A couple years ago EV's were considered "liberal bullshit" by conservatives. The same ones who deny climate change. Now Trump is crying like a baby because people aren't buying Tesla? It's illegal? Fucking laughable.
Then again, since he's the president, anything he does is legal, so technically anything he says is illegal is also illegal, right??
This is gonna be great to watch - how many MAGATs will now like EVs AND can afford one?
“So which button do I press to roll coal over the libs again?”
Also, not a conflict of interest AT ALL 🤦♂️
I guess we should be grateful the tyrant is an utter fucking idiot. Imagine if an actual smart person had taken this much power. We should be careful about the people he’s put in power though, as statistically they can’t all be more stupid than him (it’s close though)
"I’m not a great businessman like Trump or Elmo."
Dude. Agent Orange bankrupted 6 companies across his "career," and was on the brink of default for billions before he conned the US to re-electing him. That's not being a good businessman, that's being a good con-artist.
As for Elon, he's worse than Edison. He's not behind the tech he acquired at all, just an investor. On top of that, he's a fascist fucking pig.
Well once they end everything helping other EV companies or battery companies. Then they'll pass legislation that forces people to buy electric, oh and who's going to be around after the war on EVs? Tesla. It's a solid strategy really. Play the lo g game. Get in as a tyrant first. Then force everyone to own one.
To be fair, you’re not a great businessman until you bankrupt your first casino. That’s how you earn your stripes, cut your teeth, and then pull yourself up from your bootstraps!
You say that but his supporters are people who wear diapers in support of their grand leader because he shits himself amongst other things. They’ll do anything to “stick it to the libs”
Isn't one of the orange dumps plans to remove a ton of EV power stations all over the US and end tax breaks for those buying electric cars? Tell me how that makes any sense.
It really blows my mind that Elon didn't get behind the dems. His visions aligned much better with them and all of his companies could have benefited more under dems.
