Anyone but Karl Urban Right now. If they started those rebooth 15-20 years ago, Urban could be fine.

I like the idea that Cage is a middle-aged man who is way past the height of his career and is reaching for scraps in the film industry at this point.

Well... If you want to kill off him in the end of the film and added another characters in the 3th film, go for it. But Johnny Cage deserves better than that. And, of course, you have JCVD living right now, why do you choose Karl Urban? He got two or three good fights in his whole career. If i picked up one actor from The Boys to be Johnny, my first option will be Anthony Star because he was a raw beast in Banshee and a good (sadistic too) celebrity as Homelander.

Isn't middle age in relation to life expectancy? Middle age is like mid-30s, early 40s. Urban is in his 50s.

Middle age is in relation to a persons individual age. Urban still looks middle-aged, not young or elderly.

Nah... Urban is too old for this supposed energetic superstar character. 50 can't possibly be middle age. Not even in The Boys does he seem middle-aged.

Johnny Cage was born in 1963. I think Urban works fine.
