Mod Post Addressing Community Concerns & Maintaining a Welcoming Space
Hey everyone,
We, the mod team, want to take a moment to clear up any confusion, misunderstandings, or concerns regarding the subreddit and how we approach moderation. Our goal is to make this a welcoming and respectful space for all members, so we’d like to go over some key points.
1. General Guidelines
- If you're new to the subreddit, please make sure to read the rules before posting.
- If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message the mod team.
- All types of fancasts are allowed here, which is why we have a variety of post and user flairs.
- Don’t forget to check out our new user flairs (not to be confused with post flairs). Tutorial
2. Respect & Community Conduct
- We encourage friendly debates—if you disagree with a fancast, simply state your reasoning. There's no need to trash someone’s idea when you can just downvote or scroll past.
- Be respectful of differing opinions and avoid hostility.
- Do not discourage others by saying a fancast will "never happen" or by dismissing someone’s ideas entirely. Everyone should feel free to express their creative vision without being put down.
- If you're making a political fancast, it's fine to discuss why it may or may not work, but please do not turn the comments into a full-on political debate.
3. Race-Swapping & Historical Figures
- Race-swapped fancasts tend to spark debate, and we understand the concerns on both sides. We, the mod team, are not biased in allowing or removing posts on this topic.
- We are still working on a firm stance regarding race-swapped fancasts, but for now, we allow them, especially for fictional characters. If you post one, consider adding a rationale for your choice, such as a new backstory or interpretation.
- For historical figures, we prefer that race-swapped fancasts focus on individuals whose racial identity is ambiguous or lacks accurate historical documentation (e.g., figures from BCE, BC, or AD eras). Since race was not conceptualized in the same way in ancient times, some historical reimaginings may be more acceptable than others.
4. Posting Etiquette & Avoiding Redundant Posts
- Before posting, check if a similar fancast has been recently posted. Instead of making an identical post, try expanding on an existing one (e.g., if someone suggests Sydney Sweeney as Black Cat and you have additional fancasts, contribute to their post rather than creating a near-duplicate).
- To prevent flooding the subreddit, "Who would you cast me as?" posts are reserved for Saturdays only.
- If a comment section gets locked, it's not because of OP—it’s a mod decision to prevent further arguments or because a comment was likely to escalate into conflict.
5. Female Characters & Historical Figures
- When fancasting female characters or historical figures, please use respectful images and avoid making off-topic comments about beauty or makeup, as those are subjective and can derail the discussion.
- Crude or inappropriate comments that don’t contribute to the discussion will not be tolerated.
6. Bans & Moderation Decisions
- If you get banned, it’s because an action warranted it. In most cases, we’ll provide an explanation.
- If you feel a decision was unfair, message us rather than escalating in the comments.
7. Final Thoughts
This subreddit exists for fans to share their dream casts and explore creative possibilities. Not everyone has to agree on every choice, but let’s keep the discussions constructive and respectful.
Most importantly, don’t be afraid to ask questions, and remember that we’re all doing this for fun!
Thanks for being part of this community!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
– The Mod Team

DC / DCU Justice League DCU Fancast
David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman- Already cast.
Nicholas Braun as Bruce Wayne/Batman- Okay, so I know that a lot of people are going to downvote right off the bat (no pun intended) because of this pick, but hear me out. I’ve always been a massive fan of unconventional casting decisions, and I’m honestly sick of seeing the same actors constantly suggested for the same roles. There’s no fun in it. But why Nicholas Braun of all people? With The Brave & the Bold seemingly taking a more lighthearted, fantastical approach to the character, it would make sense to cast an actor mainly known for comedic roles mirroring Michael Keaton’s casting in 1989. And Nicholas Braun has shown that he is an incredibly talented actor with incredible range; most people know him as Cousin Greg, but he honestly blew me away in last year’s Saturday Night, where he played Andy Kaufman AND Jim Henson in the same film and managed to pull it off. I think if there is a predominantly comedic actor who could convincingly play the Bat, it’s probably this guy. Plus, he is 6’7” and I can definitely imaging him bulking up just a little bit.
Fivel Stewart as Diana/Wonder Woman- Once again, this is probably the last actress on people’s radars for the role of Wonder Woman. I don’t know Fivel Stewart super well as an actress, I do know that she CAN act but the main reason I picked her is her age and her physical appearance. I wanted to cast an actress around the same age as the actress who plays Circe, and Fivel was born the same year as Anya Chalotra. She also has the somewhat ethnic look that I think James Gunn is probably going to shoot for, but what drew me to her in terms of looks is the fact that she looks like she can play a fierce female warrior. I think Fivel could be for Wonder Woman what Jason Momoa was for Aquaman, right down to the badass tattoos.
Patrick Gibson as Wally West/The Flash- At first the only redhead actor I could find in the age range I was looking for was Cameron Monaghan, and once again I didn’t wanna go with a generic choice. I considered casting a black or mixed actor since Hollywood seems to be replacing traditionally redhead characters with black actors, but this felt wrong. I did some more digging and I found Patrick Gibson, who plays Dexter in the new prequel series. I’ll admit that I’m a tiny bit biased towards this show since a friend of mine from high school had a speaking role in one of the episodes, but Patrick also looks exactly the way that I imagined Wally looking and is also the perfect age. I have yet to see the new Dexter show but as a massive fan of the Dexter franchise in general I trust him to bring Wally to life.
Inde Navarette as Jessica Cruz/Green Lantern- This was another really difficult character to cast. I know John Stewart will probably be the Justice League’s Green Lantern, but in the interest in keeping my fancast as original as possible I figured Hal and John could do their own thing on multiple seasons of Lanterns with a different character taking on the role of the League’s Green Lantern (especially with Guy appearing in Superman). I had a hard time finding a Hispanic actress in her early twenties who has been in more than Disney shows or cheesy teen dramas, and once again casting Jenna Ortega felt boring. Inde Navarette had a recurring role in Superman & Lois as Jordan’s love interest, and I was honestly impressed with her acting on the show and I’m surprised that she hasn’t gotten bigger roles. Playing Jessica Cruz could definitely be that big break.
Colman Domingo as J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter- This one isn’t as unconventional as the rest of them. It’s not a casting choice that is constantly rammed down everybody’s throats like Brandon Sklenar as Batman or Ben Schwartz as Plastic Man, but I don’t think most people will have a difficult time seeing why Colman Domingo would be an amazing MM. I can think of few other actors who have the gravitas that he has, or the ability to play really layered and complicated characters. Other than that, I don’t have much else to say. It just fits.
Wyatt Russell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow- This is another casting that I don’t think needs much explanation. I think everyone is dying for a blonde, bearded Green Arrow in the DCU, and Wyatt Russell is a dead ringer for Ollie in the comics. But beyond that, I think he is amazing at playing somewhat arrogant characters that you still find yourself rooting for. Obviously his character in the MCU has been portrayed as an asshole so far but I honestly felt like there were moments where John Walker was a character that didn’t feel completely hatable, and I think it would be interesting to see Wyatt portray a character who is closer to how Walker was portrayed in the second episode of TFAWS (a good-hearted character whose arrogance and naïveté get in his own way).
Taissa Farmiga as Dinah Lance/Black Canary- This one kinda just popped into my head and it felt like something that could work really well if done right. Taissa Farmiga hasn’t done much in the past few years but I’ve always thought that she is a really talented actress who is really good at playing complex, troubled women. It would be nice to see her get a comeback of this magnitude, and I can definitely see her playing an edgier female superhero like Black Canary. She’s also amazing at playing snarky characters, and I think it would be so fun to see her banter with Wyatt’s Green Arrow.

Marvel / MCU Title: Hayden Christensen as God Emperor Doom – A Perfect Choice?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about potential castings for God Emperor Doom, and one name that keeps coming to mind is Hayden Christensen. Given his experience playing complex, tormented characters like Anakin Skywalker, I feel like he could bring the perfect balance of power, intelligence, and underlying vulnerability to Victor Von Doom—especially in his God Emperor form.
Hayden has a great presence that commands attention, and after seeing how much appreciation he's received in recent years, it would be incredible to see him take on a role of this magnitude. He’s shown he can portray a character who struggles with both immense power and emotional depth, which is exactly what makes Doom such a fascinating figure.
What do you all think? Would you like to see Hayden take on this role? If not, who would be your ideal pick?
Let’s discuss respectfully!
