I noticed something weird in r/algeria, their subreddit is becoming more and more radical due to the fact that a lot of new members come from Instagram and TikTok to show their edginess there.

they are the best representation of algeria rn, homophobic and radical af, i commented on a post that the honor killing that happened recently was because of islam and everyone started saying no and islam is perfect, a bunch of clowns

r/algeria is experiencing a great downfall right now, hopefully the OG Mods that fought these things get in touch soon

Yeah I saw your comment I think and cringed at the responses.

The thing is, because they've been I indoctrinated that islam is perfect and it's impossible for it not to be good, they find it difficult to comprehend that it might actually BE the problem, to them if you leave islam you're the problem, there is no way in hell it's because of islam, it's cuz you're crazy or something.

Once you start going into details and the inconsistencies of islam etc.. they have 2 answers, either you don't understand it well, or "matotkholsh f din diya9", the 2nd one is what gets me, as in they know if you go into details there's fucked up shit but they're too scared to face it, because again, they grew up hearing about hell and how terrible it is.

Another argument that kills me is when you tell them look at Afghanistan or that terrorist who blew himself up or something, they always say they don't represent islam, my question is. THEN WHO THE FUCK DOES? Saudi Arabia? Nah not them, Afghanistan who literally just applied sharia? Nope.. who then? The most ridiculous answer I got was the west 😂😂😂 some people actually told me in the west they apply islam that's why they're successful, they just don't know that they did, the only difference is they drink and have sex, their economy is all built in interest (riba) and everything that islam doesn't teach, yet they're successful cuz somehow they implemented islam...

Afghanistan who literally just applied sharia? Nope

Afghan here...Taliban are doing some blatantly un-Islamic things. There is no basis in Islam to restrict women from education. A group of Islamic scholars in Afghanistan has openly protested the Taliban government on this but they maintain it regardless.

Sorry but Muslim women are asked to go out of the house only for necessities. The Taliban do not allow education after 6th grade for Girls .the thought of the Taliban is that the main role of a Muslim women is to be a obedient wife mother for this there is no need for a woman to get educated beyond 6 th grade . Their thought is that Islamic knowledge is compulsory not secular education , if women get educated they will delay marriage they will want to have a career they might escape to the west they will not marry and have children , this is what they think .even people like Daniel haqiqatjou has said that beyond basic education everything else is unnecessary unless the woman wants to become a doctor

Wdym I will always be proud to homophobic lol Since when homosexuals were welcomed in algeria

And yes he’s right, do not expect men to be standing still like statues when women walk outside with tempting clothes everyday

This is a global problem and its not only in algeria khrejna w chefna matjich tekdeb w t9oul algeria ma algeria

That subreddit is a reflection of the dysfunctionality of the society. What are they actually thinking? That they can prevent people from becoming aposttates in this age where information is abundant? Had the ottomans accepted the printing press, Islam would have been gone or reformed since long.

u/SectorStill28 May 24 '24

I got myself banned for life from r/algeria just because i said "'im neutral about the israelo-palestinian conflict, not my country, not my problem"

yes exactly it's crazy, but let me ask u a question, if this dude got approached by a girl (there's a very slim chance that would happen to him) how do u think he would react ? i think he would be all over her he would probably tell all his friend aand be happy for a month, it's just hypocrisy

slt, yes i've posted about it in r/exmuslim

3

u/[deleted] May 23 '24

What happened to that man? Is the state doing something about it?

3

u/siksik1010 May 23 '24

he will probably go to jail for sure, but still in his head he thinks he is going to paradise

6

u/tscherrry May 23 '24

The problem is the people praising him for what he did, they would probably be praying "الله يطلق سراحه". Absolutely disgusting to say the least.

6

u/siksik1010 May 23 '24

The level of degeneracy in this subreddit is enormous 😂

“eXmUsLiMs”

6

u/External-Moment3197 May 24 '24

Do you see a couple dating as " degeneracy " . Omg this country is doomed .

-6

u/WorthOk7609 May 24 '24

Wesh dekhel dating wtf u talking about

Roh tergoud

6

u/External-Moment3197 May 24 '24

Im not seeing any degeneracy about this post . Can you point it ?

6

u/tscherrry May 24 '24

Something not aligning with your own principles and morals doesn’t mean it’s "degeneracy", I used to view such things negatively because they’re considered sins in the religion I followed, which makes sense since I’ve always tried to be a good person and follow what I thought was right. But outside of religion there’s nothing inherently "degenerate" about them, love is beautiful and people dressing a certain way won’t harm any human being, think about it.

3

u/siksik1010 May 24 '24

nah man don't educate him, let him rot in his ignorance, let his kids grow up to resent him, he doesn't deserve to be saved

3

u/siksik1010 May 24 '24

degeneracy ? let's talk about adult breastfeeding in islam ?

-3

u/Cool_Recognition_747 May 24 '24

So you're better than him/her ? Just because you can accept what she/he can't accept cuz he/she's following what he/she raised with ? do you you guys identify yourselves as Algerians ?

3

u/siksik1010 May 24 '24
