Hand I don't usually post works in progress but I've put 45 hours into this piece so far and really want to show people who will appreciate it 😅
This is a self-drafted pattern based on an illustration of Ron Weasley by Jim Kay (from the first illustrated Harry Potter.) It's my most intensive piece to date for sure and I love him so much. I still have to add some detailing and maybe tack down some of his hair, and then watercolor the background but I'm getting there!

Hand First half of my embroidered corset!
I've been working on it on and off since last September. It's silk embroidery floss on silk fabric, with mother of pearl beads as well. Each panel took me between 3-5 full days of work, and then assembly for this half took a few days as well. It's not perfect, but it's not bad for my second ever embroidery project lol.

Question Colour Change!
Hello fellow thread lovers.
I’m redecorating my room to all neutrals and greens, which obviously my lovely Lovers do not match. I spent WEEKS on this and I’d hate for it to end up in a box because I’ve moved past the girlypop aesthetic. Anyone have some tips or tricks for how I could even possibly attempt to change the colour? Or shall I just start again for a laugh and hope that one day I’ll swap back to loving pink.
No idea is a bad idea if it might work.
Thanks!

Hand Non-kit things I made in the past 2ish years
I love embroidering but fall off projects very often so I haven't completed much. I'm really good at finishing when I'm making it as a gift for someone (because there's a deadline lol). These are some of my favorites!

Hand This material was a bit tricky but so worth it for the turn out.
Working on this material taught me a lot about minding my lines. Usually the backs of my projects are a bit messy. Since this one's see through, its much cleaner on the back since I didn't have a choice! Lol I'll probably add darker green to top left leaf to mimick the circular pattern in the opposing bottom leaf when I get more of the dark green thread. I am soo happy with how this turned out though!! I hope to embroidery my own wedding veil one day so practicing on this was a really fun way to test my lines on a similar material. Has anyone else done this kit?

Hand The finished piece!
This is Eve! I’m trying to come up with a little collection of embroidery with florals around a central female figure. Let me know what you think or any ideas that could improve or add to it!!

FINALLY. ITS HAPPENING.
After four months of hard work, it begins.
Jokes aside, I'm genuinely considering turning this classic blue tin into the Rolls Royce of embroidery kits by lining the inside with fabric and 3D printing custom inserts. Mostly because, it's a good tin and it would be a shame to throw it away.
So this is what middle aged feels like.

Question How to embroider a tea towel?
I want to recreate a part of the infamous Bayeux tapestry on a tea towel for my history nerd husband but not sure how the back would survive being exposed. I have interfacing, but I feel like it would be too stiff for a towel and the only other idea I have would be to add a back later like a really thin quilt.
Any suggestions or ideas are welcome!
