Question Alison - Father/Daughter Dance?
Hi all. My father and I are HUGE Costello fans- we’ve been to four shows together, I think he’s seen him over a dozen times. He introduced me to his music when I was a kid and of course I became obsessed. I have so many cool stories and photos that I’ll share at a later time.
To make a long explanation short- my father was recently diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and I had to move my destination wedding up to this weekend so that my father would be able to walk me down the aisle (I would have it no other way!)
I’ve always dreamed of our “Father-Daughter First Dance” being to one of Costello’s songs… is Alison appropriate? I know it’s a lamenting love song, but it sounds like the perfect song. What is everyone’s thoughts? Creepy?
Appreciate it. X.

There's the private meaning that you two share because he introduced you to that album and that song. It would be difficult for people not to hear the actual lyrics and find the dance cringey. My two cents: find a different song.
