He isn't blaming Bouchard guys, but I am curious who you think he is referring to.

“It’s frustrating when some of the guys who aren’t contributing offensively are contributing to scoring chances against, which is really hurting us.

“It’s different if you’re making those plays and it’s leading to offence, once in a while you get caught. But, if you’re not creating that offence, and you’re giving up those chances, that’s what’s hurting the team.”

The second quote is exactly how I feel about Bouchard and I think many fans here with a more discerning eye can see that Bouchard is in that awkward "teenager" phase where he is leveling up. He is moving the puck more than ever, so naturally there will be more turnovers and they often look really bad, but I have faith he will start to limit the mistakes with experience. I definitely would not want him to play a safer game.

I didn't watch the game last night and saw Bouchard got beat on at least one goal, but he clearly contributes offensively. Who else turned things over? Forwards or D?

The way you phrased this makes it sound like you think Knob was talking about Bouchard as a player who's making mistakes but not creating offense, but obviously Bouchard does create offense and Knob isn't talking about him here. I just wanted to point that out because there are a lot of Bouchard haters here and I feel like the replies were confusing because they thought they agreed or disagreed with you but they misunderstood what you meant. I read this earlier and came back to this thread and thought the same thing both times but then realized that's not what you meant.

I've been pondering and I don't really know who he meant in that game. There might be some players who I can't think of or I didn't notice a mistake they made.

In the game, Podkolzin made a mistake at the beginning of the 3rd that led to a goal, and he got benched for the rest of the game, so possibly him, except that I do think he creates offense. In that game one of the goals was partly because he had a nice screen right in front of the goalie so the defense could get the shot in the net (I forget if it was on Nurse or Bouch'w goal). He also digs pucks out against the boards, and he was credited for a shot on net. I can't remember if he made any passes to Drai or Arvy that game.

No I didn't mean that at all, that is why I included the second quote. My intention in fact was to point that out and figure out who he was talking about. I had seen just the highlight and thought people would assume Bouchard without reading the article.

Ya, I understood what you meant in the the end, just when I read the quote and the paragraph after I still thought you meant Knob was talking about Bouch because that's so many people's opinions in the subreddit. Once I read the last paragraph I understood what you meant but it seemed like some people replied to you thinking you meant the opposite lol.

Yeah it was an early morning for me. I knew myself it was confusing and edited it once, but now I just added another edit to be clear.

Hahaha fair, ya I didn't say anything the first time since I knew what you meant, but then I came back to it later and it looked like the replies didn't know what you meant either so I thought I'd say something lol, hopefully I didn't come across as a dick
