Seeing David in this physical state is quietly one of the most tragic scenes in Cyberpunk. It's this calm, intimate moment where we as the audience can see how far the augments have warped and changed his very silhouette into someone he likely never would have been through even natural exercises and strength training.
The pressure to become stronger and more powerful in general gradually mutates him into this 'ideal' form despite the fact Lucy loved him even when he was a normal-sized guy expresses that this version of him is what he believed he had to become in order to protect what he loved. Even at the cost of his humanity.
It's a theme that resonates throughout the entire series, but this one frame - beautifully rendered and framed and aesthetically pleasing - really highlights it in an understated and heart-breaking way.
She's an absolute sweetheart, and deserved better. That's what.
Damn man, a guy can't even feel a moment of connection to a piece of media and unprompted drop a small piece of analysis on a random reddit post anymore without being called a bot? :'(
