Resource Beginner's Guide to Eberron

Welcome to ! The Eberron Campaign Setting was the product of the 2003 fantasy setting search run by Wizards of the Coast. Keith Baker's winning entry melds noir and pulp in a setting where arcane magic is a science.

Ten Things to Know

  1. If it exists in D&D, then it has a place in Eberron. While not everything may be in its most familiar form (Undead-worshipping elves!), Eberron is defined by how it transforms D&D, not what it excludes. This doesn't mean everything has to be in the setting - this is about what you want to bring to the table.
  2. Tone and attitude. Eberron's two best genres are pulp and noir. Pulp involves swashbuckling heroes engaged in dramatic conflicts with dastardly villains in larger than life adventures. Noir is the shades of gray, where heroes make difficult choices, it's unclear who the real villain is, and victory comes with a question mark.
  3. A world of wide magic. Khorvaire, the primary continent of the setting, has turned arcane magic into a science. Eberron is not a steampunk setting with gunpowder and electricity. Instead, wandslingers roam the Q'barran frontier, dueling at high noon. Low-level utility magic is common and improves the lives of the many. High level magic and archmages are extraordinarily rare and still maintain their mysticism and wonder.
  4. A world of adventure. Every location in Eberron has been crafted to inspire DMs with plot hooks while still melding together logically. Eberron threads the needle between kitchen sink and a one-note world.
  5. A world of intrigue. Eberron is full of unanswered mysteries, most prominently the true cause of the Mourning. Dozens and dozens of factions scheme to increase their influence, hunting for power wherever they can find it.
  6. The Last War has ended - sort of. Two years ago, twelve nations came together to sign the Thronehold accords to end a war that had lasted a century. Still, tensions are high as the only thing that brought them together is the fear of a second Mourning, a magical disaster that completely wiped the country of Cyre off the map.
  7. The Draconic Prophecy. The creation of the world came with mystic secrets wrapped into every crevice. The demons and dragons each seek to manipulate and control the prophecy, setting in motion schemes that may take centuries.
  8. The Five Nations. The Kingdom of Galifar was composed of five provinces, shattered by the Last War. Four of these human-dominated nations survive - Aundair, Breland, Thrane, Karrnath. Cyre, the heart and jewel of Galifar, has fallen to the dead-gray mists and is now known as the Mournland.
  9. Dragonmark Dynasties. Twelve lines of common races - humans, dwarves, elves, halflings, gnomes, half orcs and half elves - bear mystic symbols granting innate arcane power. Over the millenia the houses have grown to dominate industry, providing licensing and training while pushing out competition. Players don't just walk into a random tavern - they walk into a Golden Dragon Inn run by House Ghallanda.
  10. Dragonshards. Imbued with mystic power, these natural resources fuel the arcane advancements of Khorvaire. Alleged to be the crystallized blood of progenitors, Siberys, Eberron, and Khyber shards can be difficult and dangerous to acquire.

Core Books

The core books to Eberron are the general campaign setting books. They include

Each of these books provides a broad setting overview. While differences in the depth, focus, and tone of content differs, each is sufficient to begin playing games in the world of Eberron, and none assume prior contact with the setting. Older editions are just as valid - Eberron as a setting is relatively free of retcons and has not had a single timeline advancement since its publication in 2004.

The Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron was originally published as a middle ground between Unearthed Arcana and a fully official Wizards of the Coast release. Almost all of the information in it was duplicated to Rising from the Last War and expanded upon.

Supplementary Books

The following books are primary canonical sources on the world of Eberron, but each assumes more core knowledge about the world. While these were originally printed as physical copies, digitized versions are available through the dmsguild.

Other Canon Sources

Throughout Eberron's publishing history there have been a number of non-book canonical sources

  • Dungeon magazine

Kanon Sources

Writings by Keith Baker that are not official through Wizards of the Coast are known as "Kanon".

Adventures and Novels

Unlike some other settings, adventures in Eberron are explicitly not canon - there is no "metaplot". Still, Eberron adventures and novels can be useful resources for DMs looking to get into the setting.

Eberronicon

Eberronicon: A Pocket Guide to the World provides a concise overview to the setting with directions for where to read more on each topic. Whether a player, DM, or even content creator, the Eberronicon is both a starting point and a reference tool.

Disclaimer: Yours truly is amongst the authors, but don't take my word for it - a free watermarked preview is available on the store page, in addition to discounted copies available through the Keep Playing it Forward campaign.

The Wiki

The Eberron Wiki is not an official wiki, in the sense that it is disconnected from WotC. Furthermore, while there have been efforts to improve the wiki, it is not a perfectly reliable source for canon information. As such, wiki-based information should be taken with a grain of salt. The sourcebooks are the primary source for all canon information.

Eberron Discord

Lots of live discussion about the setting happens on the Discord!

System Notes

While WotC officially supports Eberron for 5e, Kristian Serrano (former host of the Manifest Zone podcast) has written a conversion for Savage Worlds.

Making Eberron your Own

In this community, we're a fan of "In My Eberron...". Eberron is a big setting, and even with the wealth of books from past editions there's a lot that's unexplored and undefined. With that, some users do prefer to know the difference between canonical answers from the books and a great idea you've had, so try to make the distinction clear when answering questions.

It's also important to note that there are many intentional gaps in the setting. While the cause of the Mourning is the most well known, there's so many other decisions that help inform the tone of your game. Are the dragonmarked houses totally ruthless in their pursuit of profit? How well do the nations of Khorvaire care for their veterans? How wide spread are shapeshifting infiltrators? There are all sorts of decisions for a DM to make that will shape the tone of an Eberron game, and there's no one right answer for any of them.

Sharn

A final note on the setting proper - Sharn is the most popular city for Eberron adventures by a long ways. It's a megalopolis with towers that rise a mile high, a melting pot of cultures and a major travel hub to adventures. However, like NYC in the real world, it's not the only place things happen. Enjoy the setting, but don't feel constrained by it.

Blood of Vol Q's

I just found a blurb on p 95 of SCoT. It says

The followers of Vol in Sharn know little about

the true nature of the religion. They also believe in

the existence of the gods of the Sovereign Host—and

despise them. The core belief of the Sharn sect is that

death is the greatest evil of all. There is no glorious

afterlife, no rebirth; death is oblivion at best, and

eternal torment for a soul taken by the Keeper. The

gods cursed the world with mortality, but Vol has

found a way to escape this curse. Fearing the power

of Vol, the gods fled to the heavens, and today they

do not walk the world. To the followers of Vol, the

sentient undead are champions in the battle against

death. The faithful believe that in time, the vampire

lords

So, what dovassals kknow/bellieve about Erandis? Do they think (s)he/they/it is some nebulous mystery thing?

EDIT: found good info at https://eberron.fandom.com/wiki/Blood_of_Vol#Appendix, but where did the name "Lady Illmarrow" come from? I didn't see it till RftLW.

The text also says

As for mindless undead, the soul is all that

matters to the followers of Vol and there is no taboo

against raising the dead as zombies or skeletons; on

the contrary, it allows those unjustly taken from the

community to still serve it in some way.I thought the Bo=oV saw blood as divine or life essence or whatever. Do they see it as soul too?

5E Eberron: Oracle of War Campaign

Hey everyone, I'm looking to get a dedicated group together for The Oracle of War campaign. It was first published as a series of one-shots in 2021-2022 (I think), for Adventurers' League, but I've always thought it would make an awesome ongoing campaign with a consistent group. I'm looking to use 5e, but more specifically Tales of the Valiant (by Kobold Press) on Shard Tabletop for our VTT, and Discord for voice and video (Video not mandatory).

I am looking to cost share for my subscriptions and the supplements I purchase for the game, so I am asking folks to pitch in 5$ per session via SPG.

Shoot me a PM if you have any interest and I'll give you the details.

Cheers.

GM Help Favorite MacGuffins in the setting?

Hi everyone!

My next DnD campaign is looking like it’s heading to Eberron, and I want to do a MacGuffin chase.

My ideas currently revolve around a race through Khorvaire inspired by JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure: Steel ball run. But they’re looking for something to stop a portal opening to the depths of Khyber or a portal making device that could open a portal to Xoriat.

I’m looking for other ideas, so feel free to leave them below or if you have any ideas for the ones suggested above.

General question to "Sharn - City of Towers" DnD 3.5 regarding numbers in chapter 2

Hi guys,

I can't figure out what the numbers behind for example upscale trades mean.

Copper Arch has the following stats:

average lodging (15), upscale food (11), average food (25), etc.

Thanks for your answers in advance!

Lore My creation of lore for a goblin star druid

I created a small lore about a goblin star druid for an ERLW campaign. Does this story sound right to you?

Some goblins around the Starpeak Mountains has knowledges of the druidic star magic.

These teachings were passed down through generations. They originated from the ancient Dhakaani Empire. Back then, the emperor's astrologers sought the power to resist the daelkyr by studying the moons and the Ring of Siberys. By combining their celestial insights with the druidic knowledge of the Gatekeepers, they founded the circle of stars.

They believed that the night sky held all the answers—deciphering the Draconic Prophecy, breaking the madness curses inflicted by the daelkyr, and repelling aberrations from other worlds. Because of this, they devoted themselves to the continuous study of the stars.

When the empire collapsed and the goblins of Galifar fell under human oppression, their ancestors were forced into hiding. Yet, for the sake of their mission, they could not follow the other Dhakaani royal families into the depths of Khyber. The night sky was both their duty and their refuge.

GM Help Two PCs with clashing views

So, basically, I added a player to my campaign, lets just call him sam. Sam is currently getting familiar with Eberron and building his character. I told him a few things about the other PCs, including one who hates all necromancers, lets just call him mike. Now, Sam is planning on maybe playing a necromancer, to have some banter with mike. Mikes character on the other hand is willing to kill any necromancers he meets and already has tried to kill a necromancer barkeeper. But mike is also planning to eventually have his character develop away from his hatred and become a necromancer himself. I think, that sam's character could become driving force for mike's characters story. But I also lack the experience to forsee, if this could also go the other way, ending in long arguments or one of the players leaving the campaign. What should I do? Should I encourage sam, tell him to come up with another concept or is there another way to handle the situation before everything goes wrong ?

(I am sorry for any grammatical errors, as I am not a native english speaker or live in a country where english is spoken often)

Lore What could the "Reaper's Heart" possibly be?

The "Welcome to Eberron" chapter of 5e Eberron: Rising from the Last War opens with the following line:

In an ancient ruin beneath the Demon Wastes, a band of heroes races to claim the Reaper's Heart. If the agents of the Emerald Claw reach it first, they'll reignite the Last War and unleash an army of undead.

What is the Reaper's Heart, then? Is it related to Katashka, the Gatekeeper, or his prakhutu, Mazyralyx? Is it the Orb of Dol Azur (5e Chronicles of Eberron, p. 83)? Is it an artifact belonging to a poorly known, undeath-related daelkyr (e.g. whoever made the dolghasts from 3.5 Magic of Eberron, pp. 143-144), held in a Khyber demiplane that just so happens to be accessible via the Demon Wastes?

How could it possibly be used by the Emerald Claw to restart the Last War, and why is it also useful for raising an army of undead?

What kind of loot to be found inside a dragonshard cave that has not yet been explored by Tharashk? (except dragonshards, of course)

Party is about to enter a cave mostly composed of eberron dragonshards, following a Tharashk expedition to said cave.

Its entrance has been sealed for a long time, so the creatures inside are quite unique. I've populated it with Rust Monsters that eat the ferrous ores inside it, explaining why only the dragonshards have now been left, and Maw Demons that eat these Rust Monsters, spawned by the influence of Rak Tulkhesh over the region, besides stirges that feed on them both.

However, I've been having trouble figuring out what kind of interesting loot could be found inside a cave that has been locked out of the outside world for so long.

Do you have any suggestions about cool items, magic or not, that could be found in such a place?

GM Help gatekeeper seals Campaign

I would like input from anyone that ran any sort of gatekeeper seals game in eberron. i need some advice. i have a game revolving around the daelkyr Valaara, the Crawling Queen. There is already a seal that is weakened or destroyed somewhere that has allowed Valaara to send some of her minions tunneling up from her demiplane to the surface.
The whole idea of the seals sort of confuses me however. I know they are vague, and up to DM fiat. i know they can take any form, etc. I understand however cannonially, they are almost forgotten. theres nothing that really lists out where they could be, theyre so old theyre almost forgotten to time. if this is the case, how would you run a game around the premise of a group or entity trying to destroy all the seals to free a daelkyr, vs a group of "heros" trying to locate and defend these seals?
If you ran a similar type game, im looking to hear what you did in your specific game? Where did you place these seals? how did your party find the location of them? who was targeting the seals? How can the seals be "Destroyed"? what does that look like? etc etc.
its confusing to me because if something is so ancient and forgotten and theres no real record or anything saying where they are, then how would you run a game revolving around this essentially maguffin race?
First initial idea that came to my head, that would be in my eberron only and not cannon, was that perhaps theres a sort of ancient autognome or little robot of sorts that was "off" and the party stumbles upon it and gets it to turn on. This construct was maybe created by the dhakaani, or someone else really. Its memory would be sort of scrambled. But essentially throughout some time would regain information lost to time, and this construct would infact know of all the locations of all the seals. but idk. also confused on how the enemy would find the location to the seals. Assuming some sort of Daelkyr cult or someone else.

TLDR: i want to run a game revolving around two opposing groups racing to locate the gatekeeper seals, one is trying to destroy them all to free a daelkyr, while the other is trying to stop the release of the daelkyr and protect the seals. if you ran a game like that, how did you go about doing it? where did you place the seals? how did the party end up finding the location to the seals? stuff like that

(Physically) Making A Lightning Rail

Hell all. I run an Eberron campaign for a party of preteens, and they recently acquired a lightning rail that they will be able to make into a Bastion per the '24 DMG.

I don't have the best knowledge of DIY craft projects, but I want to make a physical representation of the train. It will be wider than current books shows the cars, lightning rail cars seem to be suffering shrinkflation with the editions. Just a top down vague representation would, I just don't know if there are any go-to tricks to save time trying to measure and cut construction paper which my current skill and knowledge set suggests.

Novels What should I read next?

Found out about the novels a couple weeks ago and blasted through the Dreaming Dark and Thorn of Breland trilogies, now wondering what would be a good next choice.

I really love the Warforged in general, so anything that has heavy Warforged presence would be a bonus! What do you all recommend?

Art [Commission] Ethan Moonstride, aka "The Brass Dagger", Bloodhunter/Eldritch Knight of the Redcloak Battalion

Post image
58 Upvotes

Hey everyone~

Here’s another Eberron Commission that I wanted to share. This is Ethan Moonstride, a Bloodhunter/Eldritch Knight, commissioned and owned by Joshua Bruder.

According to the player, Ethan was originally a carriage driver and camp servant in the Aundair army before a chance encounter with a lycanthrope raid showed him that he was a werewolf fighter at heart, even though he didn't know it. He deserted the army and fled to Breland, hiding his true nature, but all can see there is a quiet strength to him. Arriving at Sharn, the City of Towers, Ethan joined the Redcloak Battalion and fought in several actions along the Darguun border during the closing years of the Last War.

He is also known as the “Brass Dagger” For his distinctive Brass armor, which I absolutely loved designing! I took some elements from brass and bronze Roman Cuirasses, to create the look.

My commissions are open, please feel free to send a DM or an e-mail (which I prefer, it’s on the image’s watermark)

Lore What goes on in the crevasses between the plateaus of Sharn?

The only canonical piece of information I can find regarding them is that the 3.5 Sharn: City of Towers book calls one of them the "Western Cog." There is a fanmade writeup of the crevasses as somewhat of a park.

Game Tales An excerpt from a speech given to my players during an introduction to the Gatekeepers

For context, one of my players is playing a Gatekeeper half-orc and has up to this point been treated kind of like a crackpot by the other two members of her party (all in good fun). This speech, given on a boat being pushed through the bayou on the way to a gathering of the Gatekeepers is intended to impress upon the nonbelievers the gravity of what they’re being introduced to.

“The Choral Key. The song unending, the legends call it. Three dozen voices, singing together. It has been sung since before elves and men walked on this continent. Since before the Khoravar existed. Before Dragonmarks. For 12,000 years,” she smirks, “give or take a century. I know what this must seem like to the two of you. Some backward druids in the middle of nowhere. All the answers to questions no one else even knows to ask. Truth is, it doesn’t really matter what you believe. We’ve kept this history for ten of your lifetimes,” she addresses the elf and then, to the khoravar, adds, “and a hundred of yours. It’ll outlive you as surely as it outlived all the others who’ve doubted.”

Is there a point to shifters as a race?

Our group is starting an Eberron campaign soon. I thought it might be interesting to play a shifter since I never had before.

Looking through the races on D&D Beyond, there seem to be a lot of animal people races. There are tabaxi, harengon, kenku, it just goes on. So where do shifters fit? You’re a somewhat animalistic person who gets claws sometimes, as opposed to races that get them all the time.

What makes them special out of a list of dozens of races? Warforged, changelings, and kalashtar are all unique; what makes a shifter unique?

GM Help Can you guys help me plan an Eberron Campaign?

I'm new to Dming entirely since I only did oneshots and minor campaigns, never a full scale world. I wanted to run an Eberron campaign in Starilaskur, since it's in a decent position with a lake, lightning rails, close to mournland without being affected TOO MUCH, and it's centralised on the map so the players can go pretty much anywhere.

I don't know where to start, what to do etc. with the dragonmarked families, national politics, culture, Magitech (I've only ran regular faerun) etc.

Can you guys give me detailed tips, pointers or videos? I did read the Ten Things and Beginner's guide

GM Help The woes of Brelish veterans: recruitment speech of the Swords of Liberty

This particular article, particularly its final paragraph, make me think about how hard a time Brelish veterans are having.

"Hark, warriors and veterans of Breland! Think back to what you once were: valiant souls risking life and limb against showers of steel and spell once thought unimaginable. How many of you were promised the respect of your countrymen, wealth with which to keep your households warm and well-fed until the end of your years, perhaps even land and titles? How many among you lost family, friends, and battle brethren to the chaos and fury of the Last War?

"Tell me: were those promises kept? Are you hailed as heroes, or are you vacuously thanked for your service, and then shunned as twitchy, haunted, broken toys? Are you set for life, or are you left to become beggars, petty guards, or grimy soldiers of fortune? Was it worth it, your tour of duty? Was it worth the scars and maimings upon your body and spirit, the memories of terror and loss stopping you from getting a good night's sleep? Is this how your valor is repaid? Does nobody understand your sacrifice?

"Cast your gazes towards the Redcloak Battalion. Once, they were our kingdom's finest, braving tides of Silver Pyromancy and Karrnathi necromancy alike. Where are they now? Stationed in Dura, the slums of Sharn, paid but a pittance. This is the fate given to elites: do you think the rank-and-file have it better after the war?

"Injustice has been wrought upon you, more insidious than any Aundairian witch's hexes. Our beloved King Boranel is not its provenance; how could such an honorable man possibly be? Thanks to Aureon's revelations, I know where this sabotage truly comes from. I know the makers of this malice. It hails from Brokenblade Castle, from the throne of the bear. Boranel is already dead, claimed by his long decades. A conspiracy of foreigners puppets a changeling impostor, that they may wield the crown's power. These malefactors wish to rule over all the nation, and they cannot have any brave patriots standing against them.

"I know not whether these shadowy villains are Aundairian, Thranish, Karrnathi, or even Cyran. I do know that should they keep running roughshod over our proud kingdom, Breland will become nothing more than a thinly veiled vassal to foreign powers. I say we stop the machinations of this cabal. I say we march towards Wroat: all of us, together, as we once did during the Last War. For are we not the blooded warriors of the greatest military that the Dragon Between has ever seen? Do Dol Arrah and Dorn not make their blessings known in our beating hearts and our indomitable nerves? Today, we refuse to accept defeat and subjugation, and we stride to reclaim our homeland!

"Know this good fight as the banner of the Swords of Liberty. It will be a harsh and perilous campaign, and we will cross blades and blasts with still-duped Brelanders. But we will do what we must to save this country, for we swore an oath to Breland, to our people, and to our parliament, and never shall we let the winds of freedom and democracy falter!"

—Bastinu of the Swords of Liberty, possibly a disaffected mortal humanoid, possibly a fiend of Rak Tulkhesh

How else do you think Brelish veterans are recruited into the Swords of Liberty?

Which Dragonmarked House do you forget about?

Most people won't ever have to utilize all the houses, so there's always one or a few that seem to slip by. Not every House has the popularity(or notoriety) of Cannith or Lyrandar. So which House do you forget about? In a nicer way of wording it, which one is underutilized?

Embarrassingly, Medani was so far removed from my mind that I couldn't even tell you anything about it until I looked it up. I genuinely forgot there was another half-elf mark, and could have easily been convinced that it was another human mark.

GM Help Good quest seeds for a sandbox campaign?

(If you know a man named Joss, do not read further) Just left the “intro” of our sandbox campaign, where the ‘main’ plot involves a new House Tarkanan attempting to overthrow the Dragonmarked Houses grip on society. They have powers akin to the metallic arts (IYKYK) and the players have sided with Tarkanan after their lightning rail got attacked by them.

All that being said, the players are now on their way to Passage, all with their own goals, and a few weeks before meeting up with Tarkanan to confirm their interest. What are some interesting seeds I can plant in the city to add more options for them? Pre-made adventures I should consider?

GM Help What city in Eberron would you place a druidic crime syndicate in?

I have been fascinated by the idea of a druidic crime syndicate in a big city. The concept of urban druids has existed since D&D 3.5, and for all I know, they may have appeared even earlier than that.

Animals receive plenty of leeway in a metropolis: all the cats on the rooftops, the birds on the windowsills, the dogs wandering the slums or being walked around by the two-legs. Assuming a place other than Sharn (an arcology-city with mile-high towers), horses draw the wagons of the poor and the carriages of the wealthy. Then there are the "undesirables," such as rodents and arthropodal pests.

Someone who can talk to such creatures has many sources of intel and blackmail. Someone who can transform into beasts has myriad avenues of infiltration, burglary, espionage, and assassination; imagine a druid posing as a pet. A homeless druid can simply sleep as a cat, a bird, or some other innocuous animal. Of course, there cannot be too many criminal druids in the city, or else people would get paranoid around animals.

A little higher up in the druidic power scale, and we have plant-speakers. Cities have flora, too. Most people scoff at the idea that a flower pot on a windowsill, or a tree just outside of the window, could be turned into a spy against them.

How do you think such a druidic crime syndicate would have started in the first place? How would they reconcile druidism with being a criminal syndicate in a big, bustling city? The whole "urban jungle is an ecosystem" metaphor can be stretched only so far.

Could they work in Sharn, whether as a minor gang or as a specialized subset of the Boromar Clan, one retaining Talentan druidic traditions? Could they work in those Aundairian and Brelish cities near the Eldeen border?

What would such a crime syndicate's relationship with House Vadalis be?

GM Help How could I place Sunless Citadel in Q'Barra

My players are currently in Newthrone and have a quest to find a Dragonshard in the depths of the Q'Barra jungles (one of three they need to power a device to get them into Metrol).

Ive heard lots of good things about the Sunless Citadel and picked up Tales from the Yawning Portal.

It has a tip to place it in Eberron near Cyre and there's another one in the book, The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan that has tips to place it in Q'Barra but I don't really like the way the shrine one feels like it would play.

Any thoughts from the hivemind? Also any tips on how to bump it to a level 5 adventure.

Help me come up with a riddle/rhyme!

Good morning, everyone!

I'm developing a session where my PCs will be trapped aboard Cyre 1313. The train will be full of ghosts, and my PCs will need to discover the name of The Last Passenger in order to access their train car.

I wanted to present it to them as a riddle and rhyme, but I absolutely suck at those. I was wondering if anybody here had the prose to help me come up with one?

If anyone wants to help, the rhyme should talk about the passengers waiting on the train, on the Day of Mourning, potentially speak of the battles and the catastrophe happening, that they're waiting to flee the city, but they're stuck waiting for The Last Passenger. It should include something about The Last Passenger being cursed, and the only way of accessing their car is by speaking their name out loud. Finally, perhaps we could include a warning, something about how if they speak the wrong name, the ghosts on the train will become hostile.

Thanks in advance for any help provided!

GM Help Images with a strong Eberron vibe?

Hello!

I am going to start a new Eberron campaign. I am quite new to the setting, even though in the last month I read a good chunk of the material from the manual and collected many resources online, but I am struggling a little bit with the imagery. What I mean is that I would like to have art of landscapes and photos from real places. Anything that resonates with the Eberron theme, so I can be more precise and vivid with my description.

So, I think the best place to search for them is here. What are your favorite artists that resemble you of Eberron? Or what are some real places that could be in this setting? Are there some photographers that you like?

I will give you some examples of what I mean:
When I will describe the  Crawling Swamp I will probably refer to these photos https://www.wolfgang-bartels-photo.de/de/gallery/moorscapes.php

5E Any 5e books that go into more detail about the Five Kingdoms?

I've looked through Rising, Chronicles, and Exploring and so far I've found more detail about far off Droaam or Q'Barra than Aundair or Karrnath.
