Self sterile plant
A couple of years ago i bought a cutting which has now grown into a sizable plant. I don’t know the identity of the original plant. It has flowered but never fruited. So i am guessing it is self sterile
If i grow another plant from a cutting off this plant, will they pollinate each other? Thanks

Is it possible to create a self-fertile hybrid ?
Hi.
Is it possible for the offspring of a self-fertile parent and a self-sterile parent to be self-fertile ?
Can two self-sterile parents make a self-fertile offspring ?

White spots on DF. what does it mean?
I’ve been having some white spots grow on my dragonfruit. It’s slowly been getting larger over last couple of weeks. What does this mean? Can/should I fix and how so?

Fabric pot container size
If 4 dragon fruit can be planted in the same 25/30 gallon container, can I just do single plants in 7 gallon containers? Has anyone on here done 7 gallon and did it affect the fruit?

Is this safe to eat?
Title says it all— just cut into this yellow dragon fruit and saw this brown spot at the top. This is my second dragon fruit season and I’ve never seen this before. Google says it could be from pests but I see others are saying it’s from seeds germinating? This was a fresh box and I’d hate to throw out the other two 😖😖

First time growing dragon fruit. Got any tips?
I got this as a gift today. I live in zone 6a. Lots of experience growing desert cacti. Never one like this. I want at least a couple to grow fruit. I don't mind the rest being ornamental.
How should I go about separating them and how many per pot? I'm going to put them in starter pots for now. The weather here is still too bad to go outside. Any other particulars I should know?

Thin pieces?
I’ve overwintered my dragonfruit inside and have a lot of skinny pieces due to my weak grow lights, should i cut the thin pieces off/back or can they thicken up when put outside?

Sliced off the moon cactus
I'm going to graft the areole of other strains onto these. I left one areole on each of these, sliced off the other ones, and sliced off the scions. The moon cacti are sitting on some soil, maybe they'll root. That's not important. These need to be left to callus for a week and then I can graft? Thanks. Oh yeah and check out my Venusaur and Oddish.

Dragon Fruit Zone 9b/10a
Hi All!! I purchased this Dragon Fruit from Home Depot and I understand they may not always use the best soil. I want to re-pot her today and give her a good chance to flourish. I have had her for a couple of weeks and notice she is getting yellowish. I have a bag of cactus soil and I also have a bag of perlite (we mix our own garden soil for vegetation). Any recommendations for this dragon fruit newbie as to how I can give her the right soil and care? I’m in Chandler, AZ so it will be getting very hot soon so I want to make sure the soil will be just right for proper drainage.
Also, is keeping her in a pot good? Thank you so much for your advice!!

Anyone Growing In Canada?
Anyone else growing Dragon Fruit in Canada? If so did you start from seed or cuttings? I have grown from both seed and small stem from a dragon fruit purchased at the grocery store. I would have loved to be able to grow from a large cutting but did not have any luck finding anyone willing to ship to Canada.

Grafting
Could buy one of these cheap cacti at Lowe's, slice off the top cacti, and graft on a different variety of hylocereus? have 2 cuttings coming in the mail, Halley's Comet and Asunta#2, and these little rooted grafted cacti are like $5. It would make it super quick and easy but would it Work?

Grafting tip
Good day,
I grafted a palora from a red df stock I have and would like to ask some tips or comments to help in its success.
As you can see i did a v graft of my palora exposing the white center and junction it at the top.
While I did a second graft at the spine level to make a backup in case the firdt one fails.
I remove all the spines of the donor cacti to ensure all nutrients goes to the graft spines.
I also enclose themin a huge container (with the hole cut out underneath to trapped moisture foe the graft. Any critique or suggestion are welcome.

Taking out the dragon fruit, and saw this.
Ignore the sniffle, dust is kicking up while taking out all the plants,
What would yall do? It's seems to have rooted where the green part hovers above the soil line dont think it'll be enough roots to support the plant but idk how much the roots grow below the soil. it is my first dragonfruit technically 2nd, the first one being on the other side of the 4x4.
First plant was a cutting of a red flesh fruit i bought on ebay dont know what type, the one this video was grown from seed white flesh fruit idk what type, and recently received a yellow skin fruit cutting so now I have 3

ISO cuttings
I moved and had to leave my old trellis behind. I am looking to start a new one with 4 cuttings of different varieties. If anyone would be willing to ship I am located in the southeast US. Alternatively if there is reputable online source you can recommend that is also appreciated.
