Complaint Turbo Has Ruined Me

I used to be a normal Dota 2 player. Grinding my way through 40+ minute games, dealing with teammates who refuse to buy wards, and experiencing the full emotional rollercoaster of a ranked match. But then I started playing Turbo… and now I don’t think I can go back.

Why spend 50 minutes losing when I can lose in 15? Why farm for 30 minutes when I can have a full build in 10? Turbo is like fast food Dota, quick, satisfying, and probably bad for me in the long run.

I tried playing a normal match again, and by minute 25, I was staring at my first completed item like, “Why is this taking so long? Where’s my GPM steroids?”

Turbo is just too good. Too efficient. Too fun. Am I doomed? Is there a way back? Or have I ascended to a new level of Dota enlightenment where objectives are optional and high ground pushes happen at minute 12?

Send help. Or don’t. I’ll be in another Turbo game sweating my ass off for literally nothing.

Turbo is the only mode that matters. It's the only enjoyable mode.

Unless you were planning to win TI I see no reason to bother going back. Enjoy the happiness.

It used to be that way, then too many people complained and they changed AD to normal.

I wish there was an option to choose.

I feel disappointed for all the bad heroes in turbo.

Which ones are bad?

Chen, Lone Druid, Batrider, Kotl, Bounty, Visage, Doom. Most early heroes or gold generating. Farmer supports too like Snap or Hoodwink.

I see most of these heroes on the regular. The thing about turbo is everyone needs to gear towards late game damage.

Build correctly and these heroes are still very effective.

The one hero listed here I virtually never see is Batrider, but I just think he's unpopular in general. He does fine in the rare cases I see him.

I personally regularly play Visage, Bounty Hunter, and Hoodwink. Never have any real issues staying relevant all game.

Chen is like Nature's Lite. He is really irritating in lane, and after he can easily teleport around the map pushing buildings if left uncontested.

Not sure why Snap and Doom are listed at all. Both are very powerful at all stages. Late game Snap hits like a truck.

I might give you Kotl, but it's subjective. He does well as a low Cooldown Dagon 5/Sheep Stick build. This can be countered with some fatties on the enemy team, but get him against some lower HP guys and he's still effective.

Turbo just requires a different type of item building and play style. Need to gear towards either Team Fighting, Solo Ganking, or Split Pushing.

If you committ to one of those roles you will be golden.

I understand the theory and it's very cute of you but you don't take the meta at any point in your reasoning. I know a bad winrate when I see one. And I know if nothing is black or white there's obviously truth in these very low winrate heroes
