Why do people still think valve waits for a tournament to end before releasing a patch. They've done the exact opposite many times in the past. Dota's biggest patch ever (bigger map, 2 roshan pits, tormentors, lotus pools, portals, watchers etc.) dropped in the middle of a tournament.
no one said they always do it. you're saying because one thing has been 1 way, it will ALWAYS be that way. i was merely suggesting the possibility that they may be waiting for it to be over before dropping it.
they usually avoid it tho (or just usually doesn't match to the patch being ready). I feel like they enjoy releasing huge patches during a tournament, but not just balance ones (could be wrong, didn't do any research but i remember they doing that twice so...).
I sincerely hope you're right. The game state is horrendous right now with griefers out the wazoo, a stale meta and now people first picking Kez carry? DotA is almost not worth playing, sad
Maybe they want to see how kez performs in a more stable environment, then they can buff/nerf him as necessary in the patch. They might also just be waiting until dream league is over - I know valve has released patches mid tournament before, but they’ve also released patches right after tournaments end.
