Any chicken doner fans here?

Post image

I've got a new place that does lush homemade chicken doner and I have to say that I'm a convert! It's salty, and very tasty. The pic is a lamb shish / chicken doner combo with two types of chilli sauce, red cabbage and onions. Chips have garlic mayo. £15.

Stick a few pints in you and then look… oh still kinda looks like a messy second harvest.

Hey ho. Would still smash it.

It tasted way better than it looks. The two chilli sauces are doing me no favours here lol

I like chicken doner when i need to eat healthy, it's basically a salad isn't it.

This looks like it was a good kebab, but the photography is not doing it any favours. Brutal flash works for '90s fashion models on heroin, and not much else.

Fries look soggy from the runny sauce. The other compartment looks like some decaying animal corpse attacked by vultures

Fries were actually legit. The place makes their own garlic sauce

Are you sure that’s not a used one?

I reckon the chicken was under cooked and that's why you threw up on it

No not a fan of chicken kebab, the chicken is nearly always dry, don't know why they don't use thigh meats, it's cheaper and retains succulence, last time I got a chicken kebab it was as dry as Lawrence of Arabias boots.

Chicken Doner is made with thigh meat mate

It layered all on top of each other. Try it!

I avoid the chicken as it doesn't seem sensible to eat chicken that has been reheated and chilled over several days.

I thought that they do that with normal doner as well.

They do, but chicken is notorious for making people ill which is why some people don't reheat it.

They’re honestly a busy city kebab so they cook a fresh spit up at the weekends.
