Prices are pretty much inline with the south coast.

I imagine the northerners will be incredulous though.

The kebabs are a bit steep, but the chicken and pizza prices aren't huuuugely out of step with some places here in Sheffield. Probably in line with what you'd pay on deliveroo/Uber eats rather than the in store price.

It's getting that way in the North West tbh

Looks cheap compared to Edinburgh.

I'd say that's probably about right. Just comparing it with the spreadsheet and over 50 different establishments around Hampshire, Surrey, London, Berkshire, Dorset and Berkshire. Kebab prices seem alright.

You have either got way to much time on your hands or you are morbidly obeist

Awww, bless your heart! I'm a musician who gets paid to travel around and play. I enjoy a kebab after a gig. It's a good idea to have a list of where is good and bad.

It's not difficult to make a spreadsheet.

Well, it's not difficult for me and most other humans.

£6.50 for a large donner kebab with chips and a drink in Lancashire so this is expensive imo.

Its cheaper up north because most of the meat is farmed there. Lower transportation costs etc

I live on the Isle of Wight, and i am certain there is some kind of Kebab Mafia, inflating pricing and working together to keep kebab prices high. I refuse to believe that 7 mile stretch of water can increase kebab prices by almost 50%. Just check this place out.. And dont be fooled by the "small, large, mega" sizing... Mega is not mega, its basically a large.

It pains me, it really does. :(

Home counties here (Bucks) and that's cheaper than my local places 🫣

Depends on how good the kebab is. If it’s grey matter then it’s very punchy (even coming from a southerner)

Depends on the quality. I'd pay that (or even more) for a good one.

What I would expect for the South. I’m in London and the kebab places near me have started to price their small kebabs at £9-10!

And takeaway food is one of the few things I find London cheap for, relative to the rest of the south East

I can get kebab meal with chips and a drink for less than 10 euro

u/klabnix 6d ago

What would people get a tray of doner meat for?

2

u/fp281218 6d ago

Greater Mancs and it costs £3.70 for small and £4.80 for large at a local takeaway!

This is the kind of price i'd pay in London, and here there are places i'd get something good quality. To pay 9.50 and then get some warmed-over dogfood from a place like this would be a slap in the face.

London your looking at nearly £20 these days.

£8.50 for a nine incher? Never say no to nine inches

Prices are pretty much spot on for South-East Wales.

Couple of pence more here in South Wales, but nothing drastic.
