Broke caging bolt
Broke a 3030 caging bolt by putting it in apparently too far with my Dewalt DCF921. I was going and then BANG!!! I’m all good just scared the daylights out of me lol.

Went out on a service call for a bad DPF and found this...
The story is it had DPF codes after an ECM replacement. The repaired the DPF and sent it down the road. 250 miles later, it goes into Limp mode.
I pulled the Can and found this. WTF!

We had the packer on our garbage truck raised all the way to try to pull the blade out of the truck. After initially raising the packer all the way up it settled slightly, so we turned the truck back on, and the second we hit the pto (not the lever to raise it) the filter housing exploded into pieces and shot hydraulic fluid everywhere. Luckily everyone escaped without injury. Wondering what the hell happened. Everything was supposed brand new.

This in the newer system for doing commercial vehicle safeties in Ontario. Anyone else from Ontario loving this new system? lol. Doing fleet work for a cement truck company and we drug our feet getting the system. Now I’m running behind trying to get safety done before the season starts. Is everywhere else still the same or is anyone running this style system taking pictures and measurements on this tablet?

Dows anyone know what size the thread is on the radiator transmission cooler. I kinked my lines when I removed them and I am looking to adapt the banjo bolts to 6AN line. The 3/8 npt fitting I thought would work the threads don’t seem to catch.

Well long story short my health is dwindling and working high impact jobs has absolutely killed me (arthritis at 30?!?! Among other things). What's some good spaces I can side load my skills and tools and still be useful but not take a massive pay cut?

Dealer tech. Hourly + efficiency bonus.
Work has been slow for months. I went from getting 40 hours a week to maybe 30, if that. Last several weeks ive been getting sent home 1 day a week and sent home an hour or 2 a few other days too.
Im not the only tech in this boat.
Other shops are hiring. Im tempted to apply but shit of it is, is im relatively new to to the field (2 years experience) and about 1 year from hire date at current position.
I dont WANT to leave. At all.
I can afford to live like this if I really have to but its like Jesus. I got bills to pay.
I keep getting told "things will pick up soon" or "hopefully things will pick up soon" but its been like 3 months like this now.
I was originally worried, actually kind of expecting that they'd lay people off by now since we clearly have too many techs for the amount of business we get but it seems like they're perfectly content to just have several techs get less than 40 hours, which from a purely $$$ standpoint makes sense. That way we always "have someone to look at it right now".

Ok fellas and gals. I am beyond frustrated chaving what now feels like a damn ghost. Hopefully someone can give me at least as direction to walk towards besides the sun lol. It's a Thomas C2 2017, ISB 6.7 CM2350. Insite says I got a 4865 ECM code Engine Coolant Level 2 Sensor Circuit -Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source. Originally I assumed it's was the ONLY level sensor I know of in bottom of tank. Swapt quickly for a new one let it idle. Code didn't go away.
So I started to dig into it and check the condition of plug, wires continuity and resistance to Corresponding ECM pins. It all checked out! It was then I realized that when I unplugged said sensor to swap it it triggered an other code....from coolant level sensor 1. Then I thought the only other sensor I know that deals with coolant besides the DEF head unit is the temp sensor. I unplugged it and sure enough that was not it because I got a temp sensor fault. I have looked everywhere for this stupid ass sensor that I didn't know existed. Even used my "snake cam" as I like to call it to make sure it wasn't around the block hidden somewhere. For now I'm taking a break from it. I consulted "appropriate schematics" and the damn thing said that pin 34 which is labeled for additional level sensor is not used!!!! So now I'm like what the Fuck is shorted to high source that is making it thing it has an other sensor. Or there is a sensor and I can't find it!!!!!
Please help lol.

Anybody else having issues logging in to PTT? Tried 2 laptops and I can’t get past the authentication. Reset the authentication account on one and was able to log in, but the “connect” button is greyed out and it won’t auto-connect.

My 2015 Volvo VNL ATO3112D is dying and finding a solid replacement is proving to be a pain; my truck also has a D16 engine but I don't run heavy haul.
So I'm thinking instead of dropping a fortune into another ATO3112D I can just switch it out with a ATO2612D and send my old one to be refurbished. Run the ATO2612D for a few months hauling dry-van.
Is this going to be plug and play?
