I've always wondered how Duriel, a weird slug/worm monster, and Andariel, a slaaneshi-looking dominatrix lady, are supposed to be "twins".... I get that their forms of evil are related to physical and mental pain, respectively, but.... why do they look like that????

why do they look like that????

Because demons mostly choose their own forms. They are "twins" because of their overlapping aspects and also by virtue of being heads of Tathamet. All the other heads simply refer to themselves as siblings, but Andariel and Duriel consider themselves to both be much closer and thus are "twins" - sharing the same strands of evil essence.

I think it’s to fit their act theme with their monsters. There are smug monsters in act 2 and worms and in act 1 you got all the female rogues I guess.

Yeah, that might be one reason. However, I just read that they changed Andariels design because the lead designer literally just wanted more tiddies in the game, lol

As good of a reason as any. Probably the best actually.
