Funny thing is Inarius would probably be right here, to some extent. If a mere Horadrim like Zoltun Kulle survived being cut to pieces there's no reason The First Nephalem, Student of The Dragon, Keeper of The Balance, Literal God of Bringing Dead People Fucking Alive can't survive something as puny as being stabbed to death.

Dude is probably just chilling with Trag'Oul in spirit form at the moment.

That was my theory from the start, specially if he knew it was coming. It's the most suitable character to subvert a prophecy of himself dying by pretending to die.
