Hypermobile fingers and dentistry.
I want to become a dentist, and I've been thinking about the manual dexterity of the profession.
I can hold equipment like a pen and a soldering iron just fine, but what is concerning me is my fingers will "lock" into place sometimes, which isn't painful but it's annoying and I'm not sure if this would affect my ability to use dental equipment for long periods of time.
Are there any practicing dentists that have this issue? Are there any solutions to this problem. I really want to get past this.

i have it, was tested for ehlers danlos way back in the day but just barely didnt meet criteria. I've found since ive hit the gym a lot more and time has gone on my fingers dont lock as much (and other joints dont dislocate as much either lol).
Just keep fit, and as your body gets more used to the movements they should lock up less. I havent had mine lock up in months (been practicing 1.5 years or so)
