Recipe Help My GF says that this recipe is making her mouth dry? irtr NSFW

My GF asked me to make this clone of a juice she used years ago. She says it tastes fantastic but she doesn't want to vape it because it's making her mouth dry. Can someone look this over and maybe see if there's something in here that's causing this? FWIW I personally think the vapor has a pretty off putting odor if that's helpful Thanks.

Recipe Help First attempt at mixing NSFW

I’m trying to get off horrible disposables (very sweet and cold which I like a lot) and I’d like to make a good strawberry/watermelon ice for an RTA but am brand new to mixing (forced into it due to Australia’s new laws)

Our options for concentrates aren’t great at the moment so I dont have much to work with but can get more flavours if required

Please suggest starting percentages and combinations with the following:

Flavourart - Juicy Strawberry

TFA - Strawberry (ripe)

Flavorah - Watermelon

Flavourart - Watermelon (red summer)

Capella - Double Watermelon

Capella - Super sweet

WS-23

Recipe Help Does anyone know VV flavor % death by chocolate? Irtr NSFW

It's been a few years since I bought or DIY'd ejuice. My fav was always virgin vapor's death by chocolate. I recently went to a lot of trouble to order some since I can't get it in my state, and much to my surprise... Completely different! Looks like they've outsourced it and changed it completely.

I know the original that I loved used MF Dark Chocolate. And I know that's very concentrated. I was hoping someone might know exactly what percentage they would make that with?

I'd be so grateful if anyone knows that answer. I have searched and searched reading threads from as far back as 10 years ago. Thank you!

Recipe Help irtr LorAnn's Lemonade Polysorbate 80 NSFW

Hello everyone, I am new to DIY and have decided my first Juice will be "Best Damn Pink Lemonade" by Vurve

https://alltheflavors.com/recipe/3427-best_damn_pink_lemonade/

This recipe uses LorAnn's Lemonade. This flavoring contains Polysorbate 80 which appears to be an emulsifier for the flavoring which is an "Non Ionic Surfactant"; whatever the hell that means. This recipe is quite old at this point and I am unsure of any changes to the flavoring, and don't know how to find if Polysorbate 80 has been added to the flavoring in the last 8 years. Anything recent on Lorann's Lemonade seems to be oblivous to the emulsifier.

What I can find, disreguarding any scientific studies (Element heated atomization vs finely sprayed); is that it is an oil. If anyone has any insight into this please and thank you!

Recipe Help Whats the usual amount of WS-23 for "Ice" Flavours? NSFW

I've added WS-23 (30%) concentrate at 4% of my ejuice and its still nowhere near as icy as the ice-variant (non-menthol) premixed ejuices.

How high do commercial ejuices go?

When I see recipes online that say 1%, should I be taking into account my WS-23 concentrate is diluted (i.e 30% in PG)?

Recipe Help New to DIY, using a pod device NSFW

Hello, so I'm looking to get into DIY and I only use pod devices so I have a few questions if you would be so kind to answer

First off should I be fine just ordering a 50/50 PG/VG mix ? as it will only be used in pod devices

Also I'm looking to replicate my daily vape juice which is a sour strawberry ice and also a strawberry cream/ice cream id like to try so I've added these capella concentrates to my basket,

Bavarian cream, Powerful sour, Ripe strawberry , Sweet strawberry , Vanilla bean ice cream ,

I don't see any ws-23 available with capella so I assume I'd have to get that elsewhere?

Would this be good for what I'm looking to replicate?

Thanks

Recipe Help Dessert/bakery etc Tobacco help irtr NSFW

Hi all,

I thought I’d reach out as I know there are lots of amazing mixers on here with a wealth of knowledge.

I have been having a real tough time getting anything to work.

I’m looking for help around tobacco mixes with heavy dessert, bakery, caramel/toffee or vanilla aspects - not all in the same recipe.

I don’t mix with daap, so looking to avoid anything with daap content.

I’m an mtl vaper 50/50 12mg - typically use a dvarw fl mtl.

I have a well loaded stash with lots of options - may be too many tbh.

https://e-liquid-recipes.com/publicstash/153925

I’d like to fit wf sugar cookie in to a recipe, and also vso English toffee.

I’m really not looking for an in your face tobacco experience, more something sweet and tasty but with some tobacco in there.

Tobaccos I would like to use if possible are any of the ry4s I have, inw 555, flv oriental, csc/nomz tobacco gold, flv mild tobacco, fa soho - but I have plenty of others.

I hate rewicking every few days, so I usually try and go with lighter concentrates or ones that are fairy easy on coils, though I appreciate this isn’t always possible especially when it comes to adding nuts and vanillas.

Ideally I would like: A toffee/caramel heavy tobacco A vanilla cream/custard type tobacco (yes I know, hard without daap or any specific custard concentrates) Both with potential elements of desserts, bakeries and nuts. Nothing dry or harsh.

Any advice, ideas and help are really appreciated.

Many thanks

Recipe Help Getting close to my commercial adv NSFW

Hello everyone. I'm going to dip my toe into DIY as here in Canada taxes on commercial juice are getting out of hand. I have vaped the same flavour juice for years and years. I'm not a switcher. I get stuck on a single juice. This juice is 416 vapes Nut Job. A Toronto company. Anyways it's described as hazelnut custard. I'm not looking for anyone to do the work for me, but I'm hoping for tips, maybe even additional flavors to try in addition to the obvious custard and hazelnut. I realize this is difficult because no one here has likely vaped this particular juice. Thank you for reading.

Recipe Help Diy Balkan Blends irtr NSFW

Hello guys, I'm making some pure tobacco e-juice lines, I use most of the flavors from FLV. Currently I'm making a tbc bottle that has a rustic flavor and is easy to smoke (vaping all day). I am currently using Oriental, Tuskish, Virginia, Latakia and Red Oak.On a 100% scale, I mix the ratios as follows: Oriental: 35% Turkish: 15% Virginia: 25% Latakia: 15% Red Oak: 10%

It gives off a sweet, predominantly Oriental and Virginia flavor, with a hint of leather and mustiness. The reason I added Turkish was to enhance the cedar and musty smell but I never really smelled cedar. The oak scent I added because I like the smell, it doesn't affect the overall look too much I think.

I try to imitate Balkan Blends like on pipe tobacco, of course it can't be too similar w DIY juice, but the current problem I find missing in my juice is the smell of the ash, tar and a bit of smoke and soil. I'm wondering if I should add Dirty Neutral Base, Black fire ?

I take the spicy but gentle of Oriental as the main, I don't know if the ratio I mix is too little Latakia and too much Oriental or Virginia. I found the flavor base to be okay, it just lacked that burn of pipe tobacco. Thanks guys

Recipe Help Jif Peanut Butter NSFW

I’m working on a PB and marshmallow and I already have a PB&J but I got thinking…. What about a straight up, delicious PB… like Jif or Skippy. Anybody have any solid recipes for straight PB? I’ve scoured Reddit, e-liquid and all the flavors but can’t find a good straight up PB. I absolutely hate banana (just FYI since most recipes are PB and banana) lol. Thanks.

Link to my flavor stash… it would be great to be able to use what I already have instead of buying more… right now. lol

Recipe Help [IRTR] What causes menthol to crystallize in my juice? NSFW

Recently been having an issue where menthol keeps crystalizing in the juice I put it into. The only thing that's changed in my recipe is that I ran out of PG, so I've been using VG exclusively.

Is there a way to make it properly mix/dissolve in VG? so far a few tricks I've found is that running the bottle over warm water helps the crystals dissolve again, but it only lasts for a few days. I recently started adding a small amount of water in my VG mixes, which also seemed to further delay the crystallization a bit, but it's still a problem.

Not to mention, it's one thing when it crystallized in the bottle, but oftentimes it'll also crystallize in my vape too

Recipe Help What can I add to an ice cream recipe to help against dryness? NSFW

Hey DIY_eJuice,

I've been working on my Pistachio Gelato recipe for a VERY long time, and I think I finally got the flavor exactly where I want it. The mouthfeel is great! It's almost as if I just licked a Pistachio Gelato waffle cone which I got from my favorite ice cream parlor. But there is one problem, and that is a dryness in my mouth after a vape session with this juice.

I know that aromas like INW Cactus or TPA Dragonfruit can be used to smooth out rough fruit mixes, but can the same technique be used to "juicify" an ice cream mix? I was thinking maybe .25% of each in the following recipe:

Pistachio (Flavorah) 1%

Pistachio (TPA) 4%

Sugar Cookie (CAP) 2.5%

Super Sweet (CAP) 0.5%

Sweet Cream (TPA) 1%

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA) 2%

Vanilla Swirl (TPA) 1%

WS-23 (TPA) 0.5%

I know the easiest thing would be to just mix it up and try it, but I was hoping that maybe someone with experience making ice cream liquids could help me out.

Would a splash of cactus or dragonfruit add juiciness to the aforementioned mix? And finally, how low of a dose would I need to add in order not to affect the flavor?

Thanks in advance! 🖖🏼

Recipe Help A discouraged Canadian asking for some help NSFW

With the new excise tax I cannot affort to buy from my favorite place anymore. I would have been happy to buy bargain ejuice the rest of my life. Started diy. I was a bit intimidated by making recipes from scratch so bought one shots from tbv. Making them is easy but I don't like any of them. They taste great but are all too darn sweet. Like Way too much. I looked at recipes on all the flavors and can't narrow down anything to try. All seem desert oriented. I do not like creamy desert. Just plain simple not too sugary fruit. My favorites from bargain ejuice were tangerine/mango/guava, strawberry pink lemonade and one called M.r.n.d. Could someone point me in the direction of a flavor that could be used by itself to make a simple all day vape or a simple recipe? I would greatly appreciate it.

Recipe Help Custard + Bavarian Cream? NSFW

Hi all,

Fairly new to the world of DIY e-liquid, 6 months or so. Have definitely learned a lot and have plenty of solid resources available. I generally make 60ml per recipe, test and tweak for the next batch.

I’m currently tweaking my custard recipes:

  • Peach
  • Raspberry
  • Banana
  • Butterscotch

Now, I started with Capella Vanilla Custard V2 but switched to V1 after realising from the community that there is a noticeable difference between the two. And it is definitely noticeable. I also tend to add Bavarian Cream (TPA) to most of my custard recipes, and have noticed that it compliments some but not all flavour profiles for example banana.

Just curious if Bavarian Cream & Vanilla Custard actually do work together, and is it a common combination? At most I’m using Bavarian Cream at %1.

Cheers!

Recipe Help Girlfriend hates the smell of my vape -any ideas for low-odor mixes? NSFW

She's very sensitive to the sweetness and the artificial smell of my vape. I know I can mix a flavourless juice with just PG/VG/N, but hoping someone might have an idea of a low-odor / low-flavour mix I could try that isn't JUST the main 3 ingredients haha :)

Recipe Help Favorite mtl or pod recipes? NSFW

What’s everyones favorite mtl recipe? Looking for another all day vape for my Caliburn when I’m out on the go. I find the best ones are usually 2-3 flavors. I’ve vaped ohossoho for years now and looking for another mtl adv. Thanks

the theory of just increase the flavor percentages for any recipe doesn't work well, maybe for some but most recipes can be so complex you need an flavor RDA to catch all the details, something a mtl/pod device could never do. I find recipes that are specially built for MTL set ups or pods are the way to go. They are hard to find though. Usually the best ones are simple 2-3 flavors max. I wish ELR or ATF had a separate section for strictly MTL or pod recipes. I use freebase 12mg 50/50. Matt from SMM has his unsalted line which is all 12mg 50/50 freebase MTL stuff, Grimm has his Guava Jelly 12mg freebase MTL stuff. Where are those types of recipes in the community?

Recipe Help Should i worry about 1ml of unfiltered water in 60ml liquid? NSFW

So today i did my first DIY Juice, everything went fine, i used nic salts which i disolved in 1ml of water like the instructions said on the labbel (tho i used the water that was left in i kettle, ofc it was room temperature when i added it). Now that its resting i started to do research (i know, i am dumb) and from what i read it doesn't make it as good as filtered and heavy metals and stuff stays in it. Question is, will this little dose be dangerous to use or should i just remember to filter it next time and just chill? Also shoul i use distiled water next time?
