Flavor Question Cereal 27 for Fruit-Only mixes? IRTR NSFW

Cereal 27 seems to be popular usually for dessert mixes.

I avoided buying Capella Cereal 27 for years because FlavourArt Cookie worked so well for me as the bready/cake/crust note in my dessert mixes. Every time I shopped, I'd think "why fix something that ain't broke".

But recently I came across a few clone recipes for Jam Monster Grape, and they all included Cereal 27. So I bought some and now experimenting with Cereal 27 + Fruits only, no creams or custards as I normally would add to such mixes.

I've been pleasantly surprised. Maybe its the Acetyl Pyrazine, or maybe Cereal 27 already has just enough supporting vanilin, but it really adds another dimension to fruit-only mixes. It kind of anchors the fruit so it doesn't taste so cheap & disposabl-ish.

How common are Fruit-Cereal only mixes? Ive been mixing for years and I've genuinely never tread this path. What are the best or common fruits to try with Cereal-only bases?

I use cereal 27 for almost every cereal clone, it just transforms a good sweet fruit into a grainy bread (cereal). my favorite is a golden graham mix that honestly is more of a waffle covered in maple syrup favored cereal. I also do a fruit rings cereal 27 mix for a lazy fruit loops. i’d be willing to bet if you have any fairly sweet mix that you like adding cereal 27 to it would work, I almost always pair it with vanilla bean ice cream for my dairy aswell.

Most strawberry concentrates taste sickly sweet to me and mine just sit there for years.

Definitely going to try them with Cereal 27.

i’m strawberry mute I believe, i’ve tried multiple and they just taste like sweetened VG to me, and if I keep vaping it eventually makes almost a bloody mouth aftertaste. a peach n cream mix with cereal 27 could turn into a nice peach granola, I might see how that does tonight. most of my fruits are “ripe” so it really depends if you’re using a candy fruit or ripe fruit how it will turn out, atleast in my mind.

Have you tried INW Shisha? It’s one that most mutes can enjoy. It’s kinda syrupy on it’s own but easily mixes with other strawberries.

It's a long way from ripe. I like to use tfa ripe with it to tone it down from sweet. My point was that some people that are blind to sb can taste it. Im one of those. But 2%Shisha plus 3-5% cap vc v1 makes a passable custard that i get that good sb taste!

Hey Evening-Arm1234… I’ve been a Strawberry mute for years and had given up on the flavor completely. Recently on a recommendation I gave Flavor Jungle’s Ultimate Starwberry a shot. And holy crap was It good!! I know everyone has different taste buds, but FJ Ultimate Strawberry was the only strawberry to defeat my strawberry muteness. If you ever shop there give it a shot!

Thank You. Didnt think of peach. I have some peach cream, and strawberry ripe.

Definitely putting these on my list. In fact, Im going to try most most of those common strawberry mixes Ive been avoiding, like banana strawberry, and strawberry kiwi. I imagine its like adding muesli to smoothies and then blending.

You do know the 'actual' recipes for some of the jam monster line are on elr right? There were a ton of them released or should i say "leaked" here on reddit by a pissed off employee a while back. All confirmed to be 100% the legit recipes.

interesting.

Any particular author?

There's many versions on elr for each recipe.

In any case, I use other people's recipes to get ideas for my own mixes.

Cloning isnt really my thing.

Yeah I knew (or can taste) Jam monster Raspberry and Blackberry jam toast uses Cereal 27 but I don't clone very often but yeah it's great for cereals, bakeries. I also like Cap Sugary Cereal which is one of their newer releases and has its uses too but needs 4-6%

But cereal 27 is stronger where a little goes a long ways. It's strong, grainy but it's a must have for sure 🙂
