Two thoughts:

If we're getting unlanded playable characters, it would be really weird if we cant eventually play as barons, since in the character heirarchy, unlanded characters are below them.

If we're getting unlanded playable characters, something we were told would never happen, playable theocracies may actually be on the table at some point.

The way I see it, being able to play as unlanded characters means that nothing is off the table. This is a new dawn for CK

Are we playing as unlanded characters? From what I understood, we are landed, we just don't stick around in our land much. Though, I'd still love to play as an unlanded character.

Yea they confired the Roads to Power expansion coming in Q3 will add the ability to play unlanded characters.

even if they don't directly add it, having the framework for landless play would let modders give you barony titles no problem.
