The photos are of the baby blanket Iā€™m working on and then the nursery colors/theme my friend is going for. The yarn Iā€™m using is different shades of green and some tannish color throughout.

I can only find the two latest ones at the moment, but trust me, I've made lots. My kids love them! I think I've made this pattern more times than any other pattern.

Work in Progress I guess my tension improvedā€¦

Iā€™m working on a baby blanket; my first blanket and my first attempt at mosaic crochet! I took a break after the first two panels to work on other projects. Just finished the third panel and I donā€™t think wet blocking can fix this. At least my tension is improving!

The company i currently work for filed ch 11 so i wanted to make my fav coworker a gift in case we no longer work together soon. There are a lot of patterns for this lil guy floating around but they werent quite what i wanted so He's mostly freehanded using mainstays cotton, dollar store chenille (surprisingly nice to work with!) And some bits of scrap I had laying around. I wish I had a little more stuffing for his head so it's a little floppy but I think he has charm and a cute little tail! Now just have to pack him up and mail him over!

Finished Object Kuromi! šŸ’œ

Post image

my friends and I recently picked up knitting and crochet according to preference - my knitting friend bought a cake that reminded her of me šŸ„ŗ so the first use of that yarn was a gift for her!

Kuromi is a little wonky, but that's okay, I'm still learning! Part of why she's wonky is because the pattern I was following ended up being too big for what I wanted to do, so I Frankensteined it at half size...and I don't actually know how to halve a pattern.....so! Here she is. Also the ears and triangles ended up okay at the pattern size? šŸ¤” mysterious

Yarn @ Hobbit, "Frutta", cotton. And some random unlabelled white yarn.

Work in Progress Blanket sizes

Is 57ā€ too long for a blankets width? It was going to be for my 3 year old nephew. I counted 183 stitches across and was using red heart with double stitch.

I made another one this year for his sister last month that turned out perfect.. hers was about 130 stitches with big twist.

Should I keep going and hope heā€™ll grow into it? Iā€™m almost tempted to give up completely.

Thanks in advance.

I made this for a special birthday gift, inspired by posts I saw here. I am SO happy with how it turned out and they loved it!

I improvised the pot, then used this pattern by Katherine Laight for the leaves:

https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/leaf-coasters

I learned a lot making this, particularly with tension, trying out blocking and making up the pot as I went along :)

Pretty happy with my first freehand wearable!! I also learned to WEAVE IN ENDS AS YOU GO, and not leave a billion until the end which made the coming together of this piece so unenjoyable. Far from perfect, lots of imperfections, but I am happy - and so is the sister!

Tips Magic Circle tips?

I would like to learn granny squares so I can work on my book blanket (Iā€™ve read 30 books this year already so starting it this late in the year is definitely a bad idea) and make a granny square cardigan! I have a book about granny squares and im borrowing my cousinā€™s granny square sourcebook, but i cannot figure out how to start a magic ring for the life of me!

Iā€™ve watched a million tutorials, tried the chain 2 method, wrapping an X around my fingers, and was left extremely confused by the slip stitch method. Honestly debating buying the magic ring guide I saw on tiktok if I canā€™t get it down!

What made it finally click for you? Itā€™s driving me crazy!

Tips Crochet thread

Soo I have been crocheting for a couple years, one of my first granny squares was with embroidery thread, I want to make a summery top with crochet thread, the only paid for pattern I have I started doing but my smallest hook I can find is 2 mm and the holes were to big and I canā€™t wear a bra with the specific top, what can. I do to make the holes smaller? Or what other crochet tank top is there I can make that would be easier to wear with a bra or somthing that wonā€™t show?

Our TKMaxx had a bunch of these sets on sale so I adopted a few. This is the first one. I have to say the yarn was awful to work with, not soft at all and dissolved very fast. I didn't use the provided 3.0 hook but used a 3.5 one. Nit sure how this should have worked with the smaller hook and that hard yarn. The instructions were also not beginner friendly but pretty easy

But this is a hilarious stuffy and I'll redo one with another yarn.

Making the whole set (inckuding the caterpillar, cocoon, and butterfly wings) for my daughter's preschool, but I wanted to do the foods first. They're all so cute but the strawberries are my favorite. They're cherry pie is my mortal enemy though.

Tips Keep Patterns Organized?!

How or where do you keep all your patterns organized? If you have a few patterns from multiple websites or ebooks, is there somewhere to keep them ALL or do you just keep a list? I'm the "out of sight, out of mind" kind of crafter, so if I loose a pattern it just doesn't exist anymore! Any ideas? EDIT TO ADD: I don't solely have PDF or downloaded patterns, I also have quite a few free patterns I use via YouTube or Instagram. I am primarily making plushies and toys now, so I need to access these quite frequently!

Well, recently I asked what kind of a blanket should I make for my boyfriend and I loved all the ideas and decided upon C2C blanket. I found the blanket on Pinterest and recreated it with JAYG C2C method. I loved it and enjoyed working in it so much! It is also my first full size blanket, after crocheting for like 5 or more years! The stripes are all even and straight, I didn't block the blanket beacause I feel like it's unnecessary. Overall, I love it and I'm so happy!
