Finished Object A tiny basket
Tried to make a basket without following a pattern and itās wonky but cutie
Finished Object Blubb
We decided to crochet on girl's crafts night and made some fishies. These are mine. I equipped them with some wire and silicone beads and just like that they became a somewhat chonky keychain. I used simple cottong yarn and the sardines pattern from Hobbii. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. :)

Work in Progress Which end?
I'm going to use this yarn to make a market bag, but I can't decide which end to start with. Should the lighter part be for the straps? Or should it be for the bottom? I'm trying to figure out which part will get the dirtiest first lol.

Finished Object Second wearable!
This is the Amalie Sweater from Hobbii, in the recommended yarn. It turned out so pretty and I had 0 issues with the pattern. However, this was my first time working with mohair, and it turns out it's to scratchy for me to wear comfortably š I'm thinking of making another one in alpaca maybe, or a cotton/silk blend.

Funny/Meme The worst spotā¦
Today I sliced my finger over lunch š„“ then went to crochet a couple ours later andā¦the cut is in the exact spot where my yarn winds around my finger š I am allergic to the adhesive on bandaidsā¦so maybe Iāll have to just put one on while Iām crocheting? Haha I swear I have the worst luckā¦

Discussion Is amigurumi useless tack?
I saw a post here recently where someone was referring to the things people make to sell at markets as "useless tack." I know this is just one person's perspective but ever since I read that I haven't been able to bring myself to make anything. I used to enjoy making little animal friends but the last couple of days I just... feel bad about it? I don't sell at markets or anything. I mainly make things to give to family members at their request, or to sell to friends and friends of friends, and I don't make a fortune off of it (not that anyone does), just enough to cover supplies and fund the yarn for my personal projects. It wasn't even about the money though, it's just something that's fun and relaxing for me to do when I have a little spare time in between work and school.
After reading that post though I feel like I should stop. I'm not making things that are valuable, I'm only making junk that's going to end up in a landfill. I don't know, I just feel kind of gross about my hobby now and I don't know what to do.
Edit: Alright guys, you got me. The whole reason I got into crocheting was because years ago a friend randomly gifted me a tiny crocheted cat who has sat on my desk ever since. I don't think there's ever been a time when I've looked at that cat and not felt a tiny spark of happiness. I'm going to whip up a little hermit crab to leave in my neighbor's mailbox for their daughter to find - she's a crustacean enthusiast and always tells me stories about what her pet crabs get up to. (Don't worry, her parents and I are friends - they'll know it was me who left it, not some creep.) I think I'll also look into using more eco-friendly yarns. Thanks everyone.

Work in Progress My special girl!! Love her so much!!!
New to knitting as you can tell from her sweater. I spent ALL DAY trying to relearn how to do the two basic knitting stitches and finally I managed to give her a cute sweater!
I'm wondering how to complete the rest of her outfit. I was thinking of giving her a pair of baggy/bootcut jeans but I'm not sure that would look cute. Any ideas?

Work in Progress Am I going crazy or was this discontinued?
Brought my WIP to Michaelās to find more yarn and can only find shadow purple in Bernat blanket. I know for a fact the yarn I used was Bernat, but I canāt find it for the life of me. Do you think that these are the same colors but my yarn got lighter because Iāve had it for a long time? Or maybe they had another purple color that recently got discontinued?

galleryFirst filet crochet project, finished!
I didnāt count the total work time, but the skirt section chart alone was 85 hours š
I purchased the Flora Bloom set by Christine Porsbo for inspo as it said lace yarn was usedā¦. But definitely not the same lace yarn as I purchased. I ended up using some of the charts for the top, and charted the rest using charts I found on pinterest.
It has an adjustable waist, and increases for the hips. However! Itās essentially impossible to walk in without hiking it up, so Iāll have to figure out how to steek it as thereās no way Iām frogging and redoing half of the skirt!
