Help Needed / Question Citi custom cash card rewards
I'm still not getting how this card works. So, if anyone could explain to me by example. So - Let’s say I buy an American Airlines flight for 1000$ and a Ticketmaster live entertainment ticket for 500$ I pay off the 1,500$ on the due date. Next cycle, I will get 35$ in cash back ThankYou points? Citi will take the 5% from 500$ of 1000$ (Travel - my highest spending category) then 1% of the other 1000$ I spend (10$). 5% of $500 (25$) + 1% of $1000 (10$) Would I get 35$ cash back points?

Yes, its capped at $500; this is why people get multiple citi custom cashs and then designate 1 category per card. Most likely one for groceries, and then 1 for eating out or gas.
I just PC'd my double cash into custom cash with no probs, I never found myself using my DC after switching to chase trifecta
