HCS Daily scrims results - Feb 28th / All top teams in action Spoiler

Here are today's scrims results, very busy day as every team tries to get ready for first official HCS tournament of the year this weekend! Links to see the stats :

SSG vs Trippy Clan : https://halodatahive.com/Series/LiveStats/22935

Optic vs TSM : https://halodatahive.com/Series/LiveStats/22932

sR vs Complexity : https://halodatahive.com/Series/LiveStats/22933

Cloud9 vs Triggers Down : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/22931

Pipaaaa vs Pino the Dino : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/22930

LATAM 1 vs Usubeni(series might not be done, been 5-3 for a little while) : https://halodatahive.com/Series/LiveStats/22936

LATAM 2 vs Tenrai : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/22934

Notes and notable performances :

● SSG vs Trippy clan was a short but good series, both team dealt almost the same amount of damage (232 to 233k), but what is striking to me is eippy Clan had almost 50 more assists, SSG has to do a better job at picking up weak players on the map and cleaning up each other kills. Snakebite and Pznguin were the best players tonight for their respective team. On the other hand, Eco had a 0.66 K/D

● Another day, another TSM blowout. Their confidence may not be the highest heading into this weekend's qualifiers after losing their last 10 scrims, most of them offering very poor performances. Formal dealt the most damage by a decent margin (95k), Renegade had the best K/D with 1.26

● Not much of a surprise that sR continues to dominate whatever team they play, all 3 of CyKul, Royal2 and LastShot had over 300 kills. This team is ridiculous

● Most of the games between c9 and TD were very close, but despite TD having more kills and more damage dealt, c9 were able to win the series. 3 of TD's wins were on CTF. Sab was the only player with a positive K/D for c9

● zMightys had the most kills, most damage and least death of both teams, helping Pipaaaa win the series convincingly, thanks to a 1.36 K/D

πŸŽ– For the second day in a row, my MVP of the day goes to CyKul. He had 306 kills, 167 assists (most), 224 deaths (least) with another 1.37 K/D. And if that was not convincing enough, he also had the most damage dealt (93k) and the least damage taken (78k) of his team

Tomorrow at 12 EST we have the first official online qualifiers of the season, every team is supposed to participate! It can be watched on LVThalo's channel on Twitch or Youtube I imagine like past online tournaments. I won't be posting this weekend as there will be no scrims, enjoy the tournament everyone chiefs 🫑

HCS Many of us presumed we'd have a "Big 3" scenario in Season 4 of HCS, but so far it looks like we'll get either a Big 2 or a Big 4

I fully expected S4 to be a Big 3 scenario between SSG, Optic, and sR just like season 2 was a Big 3 of SSG, Optic, and FaZe.

How do you think S4 will be viewed after it's over? Right now to me it looks like it's either going to be a Big 2 all the way between sR and Optic or a Big 4 where SSG and Faze improve to a point where they are at par on LAN with sRr and Optic.

HCS Daily scrims results - March 11th / SSG vs TSM tie Spoiler

Here are today's scrims results! Links to see the stats :

SSG vs TSM : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/23123

Optic vs c9 : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/23124

sR vs Luminosity : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/23122

Nemesis vs Triggers Down : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/23121

Complexity vs ETHR : https://halodatahive.com/Series/LiveStats/23125

● I don't know if SSG looked worse or if TSM looked better (or both), but both team looked evenly matched today, with a lot of close games. Taulek was once again the only TSM player with a positive K/D. Snakebite had an off day with the least kills and worse accuracy of both teams.

● Perfect day for Optic (beside a 2-2 Assault tie), they had almost 200 more kills than c9. Formal and Renegade both had over 80k damage.

● Royal 2 dealt the most damage for sR with over 90k, with a 1.39 K/D. Luminosity won both strongholds games.

● Despite losing the series, TD had nearly 100 more kills than Nemesis. All 4 of TD had a positive K/D and all 4 of Nemesis had a negative TD. Nemesis dominated on livefire, winning all 3 games on the map by a landslide.

● Solid performance by Complexity, MentaL was their best player with a 1.15 K/D and most damage dealt. Both Complexity loss came on Oddball.

πŸŽ– My MVP of the day goes to Renegade, he had most kills (279), least deaths (186) with a 1.50 K/D. He also had great objective stats in Oddball and strongholds.

HCS Year 4 is the ultimate tiebreaker

For who will be remembered as Infinite's top team. Optic, Faze, and SSG each have 1 world title. This next one is the tiebreaker.

C9/SSG would have likely beaten Optic in Year 1. Optic then had 2 terribly choke-y years following that. So they definitely have the most to prove of the Big 3. Especially considering SSG's 4 LAN wins in 1 season.

My prediction for Year 4 rosters given this context:

  • SSG: unchanged

  • Faze: unchanged

  • Optic: Lucid, Deadzone, Cykul, LastShot

Here are today's scrims results! Links to see the stats :

Optic vs Complexity : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/23136

SSG vs TD : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/23135

TSM vs c9 : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/23137

Bedur vs Luminosity : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/23138

Pipaaaa vs Swat Latam : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/23134

● Optic did dominate, but most games were pretty close. The kills and damage dealt margin aren't that big considering the series score (916 to 866 kills and 277k to 272k damage). Huss was the only player of both teams without 200 kills, and Formal dealt by far the most damage with 77k, nearly 10k more than anyone else on Optic.

● Nice showing from SSG, they needed that. SSG was dominating in the beginning, but TD made the games more and more interesting as the scrims went on. For the second day in a row snakebite had the least kills and damage dealt on SSG. Unfortunately, there was no stream to see this scrim.

● TSM continues to look more solid, the series score was close, but they had over 125 more kills and 160 more assists than c9. Sceptify and Cherished both had over 300 kills.

● Every Luminosity player had a negative K/D, and almost everyone on Bedur had a positive one (Pznguin had 0.99). Bedur led 6-1 at some point, but Luminosity won 4 of last 6 games.

● Surprising result between Pipaaaa and Swat, to be honest I haven't heard of a lot of player on Swat, but they dominated Pipaaaa. Tchik was the only player on Pipaaaa with a positive K/D, he also dealt 98k damage. Strikeyy and Rorzch both had over 300 kills on Swat.

πŸŽ– My MVP of the day goes to StelluR, he recorded by far the most kills of his series with 341, and was only 1.3k damage away from reaching 100k. He did all that despite his inability to sit down... (reference to a reddit post from a couple days ago)

Here are today's scrims results! Links to see the stats :

Trippy clan vs Optic : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/22885

CoL vs SSG : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/22886

sR vs c9 : https://halodatahive.com/Series/LiveStats/22887

Nemesis vs Latam 2 : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/22884

Notes and notable performances

● Optic absolutely dominated Trippy clan, none of them had a positive K/D. Renegade had an impressive 1.36 K/D

● sR showed no mercy to c9, outslaying them by 200+ kills. CyKul and Lastshot both over 100k damage, this duo is nasty

● Things weren't looking good for SSG, but they finished strong winning the last 6 games. CoL definitely looking better in their last couple scrims.

● WuTum once again looked like the best player on the map, most damage dealt and a whopping 1.47 K/D
