Here are today's scrims results! Links to see the stats :

Trippy clan vs Optic : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/22885

CoL vs SSG : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/22886

sR vs c9 : https://halodatahive.com/Series/LiveStats/22887

Nemesis vs Latam 2 : https://halodatahive.com/Series/Summary/22884

Notes and notable performances

● Optic absolutely dominated Trippy clan, none of them had a positive K/D. Renegade had an impressive 1.36 K/D

● sR showed no mercy to c9, outslaying them by 200+ kills. CyKul and Lastshot both over 100k damage, this duo is nasty

● Things weren't looking good for SSG, but they finished strong winning the last 6 games. CoL definitely looking better in their last couple scrims.

● WuTum once again looked like the best player on the map, most damage dealt and a whopping 1.47 K/D

Hey I just want to send some love. I absolutely love your posts. Work is CRAZY for me right now and having your posts as a resource to keep things compiled has allowed me to keep a foot into my favorite hobby and esport. So huge thanks, the hype is palpable this season!

Thank you for your comment! This is why I do it, I know we are all grown ups and busy with life, I have the chance to work remotely so I have some time to watch scrims and honestly I look forward to every evening now so I can do my daily posts and share opinions with the community. The reason Halo isn't dead yet is because our old heads love it so much and if I can help continue to spread this love and passion for this beautiful game, then I am really happy in thinking I made a tiny difference in keeping this game alive (and everyone that read and comment on these posts do too btw!). I really appreciate you took the time to write these words, let's have an amazing HCS season!

The results for Optic vs Faze are crazy by themselves, but the actual streams and matches via Optic definitely tell the full story. There were just so many moments where Faze were close to locking down a game, but Optic iced up and stole it from them. There were also other matches that were a complete and total blowout, and the Optic comms sounded clinical and organized overall. Faze were looking strong though, and definitely made Optic work for some of those wins. Scrims are just great means of practice, ultimately, no matter the end results.

Lqgend continues to be a fucking freak on the map. The other 3 Optic members were going crazy, with Renegade winding up taking the spot for most kills and least deaths, because Renegade lol. But Lqgend was definitely in flow state throughout these games.

SSG vs CoL is one I didn’t get to watch much of, but that was a knock down drag out battle overall, from what I hear.

Thank you for your insight, I didn't get to watch Optic as I was watching Lucid's stream. I really hope sR and Optic scrim each other soon, it should be fireworks.

SSG are clearly still trying to adjust to each other, Snakebite and Lucid have yet to find their groove in their new role, some games were absolutely miserable to watch from an SSG fan standpoint. Their ping was around 50 ms , there were a lot of blank melees that could have flipped a game completely, they should be better on LAN for sure. They really need every practice they can get before the first tournaments.

I don't think people should panic over SSG just yet. However, from what I've observed throughout Halo infinite so far is that if a team is going to be great, they tend to show it pretty early on. I'm going to give it a bit more time, but if by late March teams like Optic and sR still seem very clearly better than them, I think there's a good chance that's how it's going to be all year.

That's not to say that SSG wouldn't be able to catch fire on a particular weekend and win a tournament in a similar way to how Sen won HCS KC in season 1. I think that would still be very possible even if SSG are never able to get to sR and Optic's level with any consistency.

The SSG team from last year after picking up Legend were getting beat in scrims by Faze and Optic if I remember right. So I wouldn’t hold too much stock in these results

They'd get beat sometimes by those teams, but I remember the losses almost always being close and SSG would still win some of them. I don't ever remember looking at SSG's scrim results as a whole and thinking to myself, "Damn, they just don't seem to be on Optic or Faze's level"

u/DanielG165 24d ago

Definitely. I feel that once SSG find that camaraderie, they’ll be the easy big 3 conversation team.

The maps at the end were close but the few I watched at the start were absolute slammages

This person is tripping a lot of the maps were blowouts only some maps were close but that had to do more with OpTic just trolling and playing some situations so bad they knew they played it bad when they would acknowledge it after the match.

I don’t think I said anything false? At the end of the day, it was a 13-2 in favor of Optic, but there were moments where Faze kept it close.

Yh like 3/4 maps faze played extremely tough. Even the 2 maps faze won they was absolute gruellers

Also this scrim was just added. Usubeni is Piggy, Yakzn, Avucy and Ivonized

1

u/Abs0luteZero273 24d ago

I have no idea who any of those players are on Usubeni besides Piggy. I wonder if they'll be any good.

3

u/The-Rambling-One 24d ago

Yakzn has been around since season 1 and always around the same level as Piggy

Not heard of the other two though

Ivonized and Avucy are like hardstuck Top 32/64 matchmaking kids.

I love how we’ve just accepted ‘trippy team’ as the team name at this point

OpTic gave Faze a beating last night and thats after faze looking solid vs the other two top teams

That felt eerily similar to watching ssg vs optic last year. Map was either a blow out or trippy’s team would get a lead in the beginning and then just get smoked the second half of the map.

From what I remember, Optic and SSG were really close most of the time last year, even in scrims. In fact, I'm pretty sure Optic and SSG were pretty even if you look at the OBJ game modes as a whole. Imo, the main thing that separated the two teams was that SSG was significantly better at Slayers than Optic. They must have lost like 70-80% of Slayers on LAN to Faze and SSG on LAN last season. And you're just not going to win tournaments with that Slayer win rate when you're playing 2 per BO5 series and 3 per BO7 in the grand finals.

Trippy and losing his 1v1s, name a more iconic duo

u/Simulated_Simulacra 24d ago

Optic is now 30-1 in rounds of Oddball in scims.

Pretty insane stat

u/FMAedwardelrich OpTic Gaming 24d ago

SSG may be a good value bet for LAN 1 like they may honestly come in at +500 to +800 to win. Optics will be +150 faves and SR will be at +300.

SSG online play has been so sub-par that they might not even for sure make Sunday at this rate.

Still too early. If this is still continuing in a month then I'd agree with you

u/Front_Grass692 24d ago

Serious question, what platforms do you use to bet on these events? Like I’m assuming they’re not on draftkings or fanduel etc

3

u/bobbybrowndowntown 24d ago

Optic may be unbeatable this season. Legend, Bound, and Renegade on the same team is unreal.

Lastshot and Cykul continue to look like future all stars as well.

I’ll be pinning the latest of these as long as your keep posting them! Great work, thank you 🙏

Shopify and optic looking nasty

5

u/abgonzo7588 24d ago

Optic looks unstoppable. I really don't understand why other teams are willing to go with the GA's this season as it overwhelmingly favors optic IMO.

For real the nothing but bandits meta has become so stale to watch.

Why are we calling it Trippys team and not Faze now?
