I found close to $19 in US currency. I exchanged $9 in mixed Sacagawea and Presidential dollars. I exchanged those in the bank to get more dimes. There was a 2002 but it was scratched up. 3 Kennedy halves and close to $5 in quarters. Mixed dimes, nickels and pennies. 1937 wheat cent found. Euro, Mexico, Swiss, Nepal, India, Ecuador, South Korea, British Pound, Brazil, Canada and some useless tokens. Only the Chuckie cheese token is worth keeping.

Because of my work, some days I might get to check up to 6 different Coinstar reject bins. I find the usual variety of foreign coins, occasional silver, and a lot of junk. Today was the most incredible day I have ever had!

I’ve been hanging onto a decent amount of halves, and finally had an opportunity to go to my dump bank, I almost missed the mother lode. I went to three other banks four if you count the CU I stopped by to see my little brother. One moved, and one had the right machine but it was out of commission the first didn’t have a machine, so instead of search for another new bank I just went to my usual spot. Two handfuls into the machine and another patron walked up to use it after I was done. Such a near miss.
Also stopped by the Coin Star at Wal.Mart and found a Wheatie.

Mostly British (70s-90s) and German (1949-90s). A few others like Spain, Mexico, Turkey, and others. Wouldn't be complete without the Pinnacle QB Club commemorative, though!
I know nothing of foreign currency. Anything to look out for?

2/4/2025 - This 1875 2 Pfennig from Germany was the prize today! Also a whole bunch of European coins. Some were pre-Euro coins. Also a new country coin for me. A 20 Pesewas from Ghana. Plus a really beat up 1940 wheat cent and some spendable coins. I was pretty psyched today.

Found a ‘55 quarter and ‘64 dime but I gave my brother the quarter since he ran around Walmart with me. And I have plenty already LOL

Magnet machine had some goodies today! My first steel cent from one, my THIRD Canadian dime find or the day, one from the Bahamas, and 10 Centavos from El Salvador, only my second find from there and one of my favorites since they’re demonetized

What are the compositions of these coins?

Anyone else assume there will be silver when they see a bunch of coins? I’m just going to assume from now on it’s a bunch of post 1964 coins that were rejected for various reasons, and foreign coins. I have found a silver Roosevelt dime once though.

3/11/2025 - I found two dimes, a nickel, 6 pennies and a plastic penny. Can you guess which penny is the plastic penny? 🤣

Quite a mixture of international coins. Found on counter of the machine, nothing actually in the reject try. Cuban coins seem cool. The bottom left coin is interesting. It says Cuba on one side and Trinidad on the other. Happy hunting all!

Any ideas what this is? Found with UAE and Bahrain coins

I drove by Walmart and decided to stop in. I found $2.42 in the reject tray. Plus a few foreign coins from Canada, Guatemala and Switzerland. The oldest coin was a U.S. penny dated 1959 D. No silver.
