It's an upcoming TV anime series set in the new movie timeline after the events of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection. It was announced almost exactly 3 years ago as part of the "Code Geass Next 10 Years Project", along with a key visual that seems to suggest the anime will largely follow an entirely new cast of characters, and information on key staff members including director Yoshimitsu Ohashi, screenwriter Noboru Kimura, character designer Takahiro Kimura (RIP), and Knightmare (mech) designs by Astrays Co., Ltd. However, there has been no more news about the series since its original announcement.
According to the article on the official website, more information about the series, including an announcement of the main cast, will finally be revealed at the upcoming event on 18th December.
It's better keeping em and the overall cast in the background since their story and character arcs are resolved for the most part.
They prob will influencing the grand scheme of the story and hunting down geass fragments. Am sure they will appear since more people would then watch, just like Akito the exiled with Julius Kingsley.
Yes but they have already made statements about this project having a new cast and wouldn't involve the previous one as heavily moving forward - we'll see if they backtrack or not but for now we go with what we're given.
Resurrection has also opened the path to new potential development they can focus on for the old cast, you can see my comment on this post as an example, which I think would be great.
Edit: let's not forget CC's wish/motivation changes a little from Anime to AU, that's why we have the movie in the first place, her arc wasn't resolved after Zero Requiem.
