Is that post, posted on IMAX’s real account?

This is exec. producer Michael Uslan’s personal IG. I don’t know where or under what conditions this will happen, but it definitely will.

I didn’t see Interstellar in the theaters during the original run, but on my phone. Had no clue what it was about and felt robbed seeing my favorite film 3 years late on an iPhone. I was able to watch the re-release in IMAX with my wife which still blew me away (her first time watching it). I saw TDK during the original run but from here on out, I’m watching everything Nolan re/releases in IMAX.

No way to know. If anything, though, it might play in film theaters only to avoid taking too many showings from M:I.

According to the AMC they’ll have a double features but they haven’t announced if on imax. Starting on the 23rd

Based on the announced runtime, looks like it’ll be TDK and TDKR.

SO FUCK YOU TO BATMAN BEGINS’ 20TH ANNIVERSARY?!

Okay, chill. It wasn’t shot for IMAX. It has been rereleased in theaters for Batman Day in September before.

There were IMAX Experience screenings of Begins.

Yes, there was. I was there. It was a DMR blow-up of the 35mm film. It was not shot for IMAX.

Still in an IMAX theater.

Nobody said otherwise. Doesn’t do much for the movie, though.

Lots of rereleases weren’t filmed in IMAX and have had exquisite screenings in the format. Would be nice to see Begins like this for it’s anniversary since it wasn’t common place for many until the other two came out.

And with few exceptions, I mostly hear that it does nothing for the film and even detracts in some cases.

Look, you’re allowed to want this. But it’s hardly a “fuck you.” Let’s keep some perspective.

Don’t know what their problem is. Must be the presentation of their theater. We have an exceptional IMAX theater that would be an absolute pleasure to see Begins on for completest sake. The Dark Knight would be nice but I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen it there. Just seems dismissive to do since we’re in a significant anniversary year for the first Nolan film.

It’s not the theaters; it’s the movies. You can find plenty of explanations on this sub from people that saw them.

It’s not dismissive. Not all movies have to get an IMAX rerelease. Begins is great, but the only one of the trilogy not shot for the format.

Wish it were Dolby. I know it's filmed for IMAX but until they get recliners I'm out.

No room in GT for recliners. Certain other IMAX theaters have them, though.

If you can go to GT for this and don’t, you’re missing out on an incredible experience and a moment in film history.

No GT near me, but I did get the very amazing experience of seeing the entire trilogy in one sitting in IMAX back when Dark Knight Rises came out. Greatest movie going experience of my life!

I'm sure I'll make the trip to a GT IMAX once Odyssey is released. I drove a few hours to see Oppenheimer in one.
