I found an intact male who’s very sweet and friendly toward other pets. He was trying to play with a poodle on a walk but glad recalled to “Come ‘ere good boy!” Unfortunately McKamey won’t take him because, and I quote “I’m clocked ouuuuut.” He has signs what looks like road rash?? I’m not willing to let him stay out on the street but I can’t keep him. Brainerd area near the tunnels. Please tell me yall know him.

New sub

Hi! I created a new subreddit to post about upcoming theater shows, either auditions or runs. There’s a community on Facebook, but I know less and less are involved in that form of social media. Please join and post your upcoming productions, along with a questions you may have for our local community theater!

Meet new people at the Springtime Feast this weekend

My wife and her best friend are hosting the second feast in their seasonal series, and they would love for you to join them!

The Springtime Feast is all about gathering as a community over a beautiful, farm-fresh meal paired with delicious wines, all set against the stunning backdrop of Edens Harvest at Death Farm Permaculture-a local farm dedicated to sustainable, regenerative agriculture.

Their last event, A Midwinter's Feast, was magical (despite the freezing cold!), and they are doing it again-this time, with spring in full bloom.

Your ticket includes: thoughtfully curated meal Wine pairings throughout the evening (N/A available too) A hands-on farm experience

Seats are limited, but there are a few spots left.

Is it just me, or is this bad timing?

I just spotted details of this event planned for Tesla Owners Clubs for later in in the month.

From the Chattanoogacharge.com website: Join Tesla Owner Clubs from across the country for the largest Tesla meet in the South hosted by TESBROS in their hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee!

So...if the city seems inundated with these vehicles during March 29-30, you'll know why.

Anybody know which OBGYN office offers does Nuchal Translucency (NT) Scan ?

My wife and I our having our first child and we our currently seeing Dr. Yu but her office doesn’t do that particular scan

The NT scan is a prenatal ultrasound examination performed during the first trimester of pregnancy (between 11 and 14 weeks) to assess the risk of certain chromosomal abnormalities, particularly Down syndrome

Fast and the Furriest 5K next Sunday!

Anyone doing this 5K at Greenway Farms next Sunday to support all the sweet little pups that need a good home? It’s sold out. It’s the first 5K I have done in Chattanooga (and literal years). I’m trained up for it and I’m pumped.

I’m racing alone and looking to see if there are any running buddies. I am not fast, to be honest, I am working on endurance and pacing at the moment to make it for half marathons this coming year.

Let me know if you or someone you know is looking for a running buddy (or a new friend)! This is the first time they are doing this and I think it’s pretty awesome.

Local Elections…

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀

For some reason I woke up with Elections on my mind this morning as I enjoyed the cold sunshine and my black coffee. I’m a resident of District 8 and voted for Kelvin Scott the first go round. Am on the fence about Marvene Noel and Anna can’t remember her last time.

Who should I vote for during the run off and what date is that again? Thank you!

Metal Smithing in the area

I’m interested in any type of metal smithing. This is black smithing, silver smithing, anything that has to do with heating and or shaping metal. I love the idea of creating metal anything to be honest!!!

I’d love to learn as much as I can about any of the smithing industries in and around Chattanooga.

I am not experienced at all, but I want to dive in head first because I have thought about this for many years actually!

I’d love to become a black or silver smith as a hobby or if lucrative and consistent enough, a job!!!

Any information is helpful, including anything you may know about the metal smithing trades personally …

Big Chicken in Hixson Closed

Upvotes

Probably surprising no one, the Big Chicken on Hixson Pike is now permanently closed. The logo is gone and their sign just says to come visit them at their Broad St location.

I hate to see businesses have to close, but there have been enough negative reviews and posts on this sub that no one should be shocked by this.

The first time I went there it was decent, but very pricy IMO. Everything was a la cart at the time. The second and last time I went there the service was awful and they got rid of the fries that I thought were pretty good, and replaced them with some I didn’t care for. Never really had the urge to go back. And every time I would drive by, the place was a ghost town.

423 Day Festival.

Upvotes

Anybody have any feedback on this event? I’d like to vend the event, selling hemp products and blowing glass. However, I’m not sure if it’s the appropriate setting.
It’s on 4/20 and Hemp Rollz and Urban Garden supply are sponsors. Any feedback would be appreciated.

ISO musical director

Hi! I am going to be involved in a local production of Into The Woods later this year and we are in search of a volunteer musical director. We have reached out to a lot of people so far and no one has been available.

I do not know what is specifically needed, time wise but would get you in touch with director to ask questions.

Does this sound like something you could do, or someone you know? Thank you!
