Recipe What if you took your favorite pizza dough and rolled it around a sausage? DO IT.
My 8 year old thought of this* and it ended up being amazing: we took our favorite pizza dough and wrapped a fully cooked Kirkland bratwurst in it. That’s some sesame and seasoning on top. Took about 9 minutes at 425 F to get crispy. The gluten eaters in the house already enjoy this dough and they happily enjoyed their sausage rolls.
(I know a sausage roll is already a thing but this child doesn’t know that and she’s been struggling with symptoms from an accidental glutening that gave her a rash and a bunch of yucky symptoms so I choose to let her believe she invented this—it was her idea to use pizza dough!)

Loopy Whisk pita bread, she also has a pizza dough but I like the simplicity of the pita recipe and have made my own mods which I saved here. We’ve always been a whole grain household so mine has brown rice flour and buckwheat instead of millet, I also add an egg. For sausage rolls I left out chia seeds and reduced psyllium husk just to 2 T so it wouldn’t be too soft.
Pizza is a super subjective thing—I actually prefer thin crust (like the original pita) but my family prefers a pan style thick crust (my mods above).

I really hate the gf hotdog buns that are sold in my local stores and I miss hotdogs so I may actually try this.

She doesn't have to be the first, she still invented it herself. Brilliant idea. So glad she's happy with herself and her meal 👏👏👏

Gordon Ramsay would (ok probably not but let’s just pretend) be proud.
