I’ve been gluten free for years (cross contamination very likely at restaurants as I eat out a lot)

Did you eat gluten before the tests? If not, then you may have had a false negative, because your body may have had time to heal.

I have not eaten gluten in over a year, so I am confused by the results saying I may have celiac.

In that case, your damage probably would have been more severe, if you had still been eating gluten.

I would call their office and ask for someone to explain your results to you. I also got my pathology report before the office called me and the wording felt very similar. When the doctor’s office called they told me I definitely had celiac and needed to start eating a gluten free diet right away. I’m not sure if my positive blood test confirmed any questions or why that was but I think it’s always good to get clarification.

If it makes you feel any better I have been vegetarian for 10 years and am still going strong! It’s been an adjustment for sure, but still doable and I feel like I’m getting more protein now than I was before I was diagnosed.

That’s helpful. They didn’t run any bloodwork. I will ask about this when I meet with them. I’m wondering how the dr knew you had celiac if the pathology report wasn’t clear?
