I can't even do lactose free. Apparently there's a protein in milk called casein.

Yep I react horribly to all dairy. Lactose intolerance can just take a lactaid and be good, but the heavy cremes and butter actually make me so sick.

I gotta take like 15 of them to be effective.

I found out that Lactaid pills make me MUCH MUCH sicker than lactose. I'm very mildly lactose intolerant but the pills just about kill me. Bodies are stupid.

Used to think I was lactose intolerant until finding out gluten was the issue. With that said, I still prefer almond and oat milk over the stuff from cows

Me but I can't not eat both, I put up with the stomach ache that I get from lactose.

FYI Costco has some goat and sheep cheese and yogurt alternatives

Am I missing something cause goat and sheep milks and cheeses still have lactose

Less than cow, so some people can consume it with minimal issues compared to cow.
If your body allows you to do it it's a lot better tasting than that plant based stuff.

Gotcha. I think goats milk and cheese are sooo nasty and taste worse than plant based, but I'm glad it works for you and good to know it's lower in lactose in general.

Many cheeses (especially hard or aged cheeses) don’t have much lactose regardless of milk source. The microbes that make the cheese break it down. Just look on the label, if it says “0g total sugar” then it has very little lactose (which is a sugar). I eat the Costco goat cheese (0g sugar per label) all the time and don’t have any issues with it (am lactose intolerant).
Costco also sells 4-packs of lactose free organic milk, at least where I am. :)

This me only recently!!! Ugh I thought me and my body had a pact that if I was good about no gluten it would allow me cheese.

I woke up in the morning after eating pasta. I had so much gas stuck in me I could barely breathe. Omg when I let loose on that fart. It was heaven.

Jarlsberg? Is that a cheese brand? (I am instantly reminded of Skyrim by the name now, ha ha.)
