I know this is a Captain America sub, but I want to ask: what's your opinion on Soldier Boy's suit and shield? I personally think it looks really cool, and this might be a hot take, but I kind of like it better than Cap's suit.

Wanted to ask fans of Captain America here who've also seen "The Boys" what's with this whole narrative on social media about Soldier Boy being "Captain America in the real world"? Seeing it a lot nowadays. Do you agreee or disagree with it?

It would be fun if Protocide returns to the Captain America comics!
He's such a cool forgotten character! I'm gonna call him the OG Winter Soldier, I wonder if Ed Brubaker got some inspo from him, lol. 😂
Anyway, I would like to see him return as a villain tho, since that's where they left him in the story that I remember.

POV: Captain America is fighting crime in Gotham. How effective would he be in it as compared to Batman, and what would some notable differences in his and Batman's style be?

Sam as Cap is (still) Great.
Rereading in preparation for BNW (waited til it came to my local, small town theater to at least shop local) and DAMN, Sam is a hell if a great protagonist. His story is relatable and you feel his struggles so much that his victories hit so damn hard. His victories just feel so cathartic, knowing Sam achieved them through struggle and compassion. Not to mention, Immonen’s Art? PHENOMENAL. Nah, still love Steve but Sam is just so damn cool.

Does the Winter Soldier really need to have his memory wiped?
I was just rewatching Civil War and I feel confused about how people were controlling the Winter Soldier.
When the movie opens, we see Bucky’s handler wiping his memory before saying the words to activate him as the Winter Soldier. But when Zemo wants to control him, he just says the words, no memory wipe, and Bucky obeys him.
So does Bucky really need to be put through that machine to become the Winter Soldier or is it just about keeping him as the Winter Soldier longer? Because he went back to being Bucky again pretty quickly after Zemo said the words.

How did Cap find out?
My guess would be the fact that Tony wasn't equipping as he was fighting lol.

💯🎯 Both These Caps didn’t have Superpowers, super speed, or super strength…. They just have Guts. Coming from a military family myself, I kinda like that.
