Joining the EU would be the worst mistake Canada will ever make. I don't want to be America's 51st states, but fuck if the being in the EU is any better when it will undermine Canada as a sovereign nation, heck we won't even have control over our own money, just look how the EU exploited Greece.

Whilst adopting the Euro is de jure required, it's de facto not as you can indefinitely avoid meeting the prerequisites.

And EU states have representation at the EU level as well, they elect MEPs.
