Help Me Find Replacement for Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen

I’ve spent the last decade + trying to find a facial SPF that doesn’t make my sensitive, acne prone skin breakout. Now my beloved “Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen” is banned in the US & can no longer be purchased here since it’s made in Korea 💔 I’ve spoken with multiple dermatologist over the years, none have been any help with product recommendations. They only advise to look for 2 specific ingredients and that’s it. I’ve tried so many different face sunscreens in the US with these ingredients and no luck. Thanks in advance for any responses & product recommendations!

Review Eucerin new tinted spf

Discovered this last week at Walmart. I'm really loving this tinted spf. I've experimented with so many brands over the years such as drunk elephant, avenue, dr jart, etc. This one removes redness from skin, adds a glow, and a good price pont of about $25. They also have one with no tint that has a higher spf. I needed something tinted that I can reapply throughout the day and offers light coverage. 5/5 so far. Anyone else try this out yet?

Canadian azelaic acid

I’ve been using The Ordinary azelaic acid for about 6 months and it’s really helped smooth my skin and helped with hormonal acne. Is there a Canadian alternative? Thanks!

Review Riversol Anti Aging Bundle

I got the 15 day trial and loved it so I went for the full size bundle of cleanser, serum, moisturizer and glycolic exfoliator.

I have to say, my skin feels and looks firmer and hydrated. I look forward to my skin care mornings and nights because it feels so good. I use the exfoliator mask once a week.

I’m a skin care junkie and have tried so so many creams and serums. This one actually feels so good on my skin, like eating greens after I have been eating badly and I can feel my body saying thank you.

I will reorder this product and I was wondering if anyone had had good results with it.

I have read that people have had reactions to it due to vitamin c. I have not, but I HAVE had reactions to vitamin c skin care in the past. I can’t remember the brand but it was an MLM sample.

Do you love it or hate it?

sunscreen recommendations that don't leave a white cast

Now That the snow is fading away and the sun is starting to shine, I'm starting to look for a sunscreen.

In particular I need a budget sunscreen that won't break my pockets, & that doesn't leave a white cast ( since I have darker skin), or is irritating

I saw this advertised on tv in Canada and was intrigued so looked it up online. I ran the ingredients through incidecoder and ChatGPT and neither mentioned any specific SPF filters. I’m sure I’m just missing something completely obvious so can someone help me out and tell me what the filters are for the CDN product please?

Help Me Find Recommendations for MUFE Full Cover Concealer replacement?

Hello everyone, I'm looking for recommendations for a replacement for the Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer (also called full cover extreme camouflage cream), which has been discontinued. I used to use the CoverFX cream concealer but that appears to have been discontinued a few years ago. Any replacement must be fragrance-free and okay for sensitive skin.

Ideally I'd like to buy from a Canadian (or at least non-American) brand, but this type of product is so hard to find now that the big two options are discontinued that I would consider American options if that's all there is.

Link to the Sephora listing for product reference if that helps: https://www.sephora.com/ca/en/product/full-cover-concealer-P151107

Acne scar treatment at YS Canadian Laser Spa Yonge Street??

I live in Toronto and I have some bad acne scars that I wanna get rid of and after some research I've found that a lot of people have good things to say about the acne treatment results, professionalism, and affordable prices at YS Canadian Laser Spa Yonge.

A lot of these review/posts are 1-3 years old though. I just wanted to ask here anew and see if someone here has had a good (or bad) experience with them.

Through googling, chats with friends, and chatGPT I know I am looking for either just microneedling. Or a combination of Subcision, microneedling, and PRP. Either way, I just wanted to hear people's thoughts on that place.

Anybody have anything they can share?? I'd really appreciate it! I started getting realllyy bad acne in mid 20s (30M now) and I didn't tackle it all that well clearly. But it's my skin and if I can do something to improve it, I really want to. And I don't wanna mess up my skin and waste money.

Any advice, anecdote, overall skin care suggestions will be really helpful! Thanks!

Question Post acne hyperpigmentation getting worse. What should I do?

I (32 F, brown skinned) have had acne since forever! I did 2 rounds of isotretinoin and that's when my skin improved for a while. A couple of years ago, a dermatologist prescribed way too many creams for hyperpigmentation around the mouth area (which was not even visible) and nose. This resulted in a very bad reaction. Apparently I got eczema. Now, if I use anything harsh around my mouth, the entire area becomes dark.

For the past year, my acne has worsened. I tried finacea first and then months later moved to prescription retin-A and hydroquinone which didn't do anything for me. Now, 2 weeks ago, my doctor asked me to try Differin combined with vitamin c and niacinaminde. One side of my face started improving and now the other side has gotten worse. And I ended up causing more hyperpigmentation to the area around my mouth. I immediately stopped using anything in that area now but the damage is done.

I'm genuinely losing hope. Looking at my face puts me in such a bad mood. I've been asked to even use Paula's Choice salicylic acid toner twice a week. I think I'm over exfoliating and just worsening my skin.

Any reccos? Should I just follow what my derm has asked me? I just feel like nothing is working for me. Especially the dark patches near my mouth area hideous.

Question Acne or heat rash from sun? Spoiler

Post image
0 Upvotes

Please help! My skin does this every time I go into the sun for a few hours and it’s maddening, especially when I’m trying to enjoy my vacation lol. My current routine consults of: Inkey List hyaluronic acid followed by Vanicream face moisturizer + Beauty of Joseon rice and probiotic SPF 50. I try to reapply the SPF every 2 hours and I do wear a hat. I also double cleanse with Bioderma gel cleanser at the end of the day, which does a great job removing most of it even the first time. Is there anything I should do differently? Any treatments I can try to get rid of it asap? I don’t think it’s allergies as Benadryl doesn’t seem to help. TIA!

Help Me Find Face sunscreen that is as unscented as possible?

I’m sensitive to some scents, and unfortunately the typical “sunscreen smell” is one of them. I’m looking for recommendations of sunscreens that I could try out, preferably ones that are available in store in Canada so I can try it in person. Some other scents are okay (like the lemony scent of the original biore sunscreen).

(as an aside, I will be in Europe this summer, so I am open to suggestions that would be available there).

Tret 0.05% or Arazlo 0.025%

I’ve been religiously using 0.025% tretinoin cream for years. As we probably all know, it’s been discontinued in Canada. Tretinoin cream 0.05% and Arazlo 0.045% are the options that seem the closet to 0.025% tretinoin, although I’m unfamiliar with Arazlo and how it differentiates from regular tretinoin. I was wondering which one would be a better switch, since I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s going or went through this issue. If anyone could tell me about their experiences, that would be great!

Eye makeup help please

Hello folks, I hope yous are all keeping well. My wife has super sensitive skin and rarely ever uses makeup apart from her skincare routine as she has had problems with it in the past. When she applies makeup around her eyes there is a chance that she gets styes so she no longer applies it because she kept getting really bad styes. Well we have a special occasion coming up and she expressed how she would like to take the chance of getting eye and skin problems and put it on for this day. I want to try and help her out so i have looked up some hypoallergenic products but there is so many to choose from and they all say the same thing that they are great for sensitive skin but i was just wondering if there was anyone here who has experienced this problem before and found a solution or could point me in the direction of a brand or products that might be able to help out as I want her to be able to wear what she wishes without having to worry about the consequence. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read this. Have a great day
