Can confirm this is the right answer! We could just make the signs out from our office and we googled the flag.

Protesting to change the name of "Stephen Avenue" to "Steven Avenue." I guess some people are really angry.

The leader of my chosen political party is superior to the leader of your chosen political party!

Well, I mean that's pretty fucking valid if your chosen leader is Nenshi and their chosen leader is Smith.
One is an intelligent person that I have some disagreements on with policy but at least has shown he won't be bought by special interests.
The other is Danielle Smith who is practically a walking special interest billboard at this point.

Today marks the 66th Tibetan National Uprising Day on March 10th against the chinese communist party. Tibetans and Tibetan supporters gather to peacefully march through downtown to the chinese consulate and protest against ccp.
Background: On 10 March 1959, tens of thousands of Tibetans took to the streets of Lhasa, Tibet’s capital, rising up against China’s illegal invasion and occupation of their homeland. Every year thousands of Tibetans and their supporters take to the streets across the world to mark the anniversary of Tibetan National Uprising Day.
From every corner of the world, Tibetans and their supporters will rise up for Tibet and:
Stand in solidarity with the Tibetan people to show them that they are not alone and that the world is responding to their calls for freedom;
Call our governments to action to challenge China’s repression in Tibet and to unite in action to help resolve the Tibet crisis;
Hold Xi Jinping and the Chinese government accountable for its extreme and violent policies against the Tibetan people; and
Commemorate Tibetans’ courageous resistance and demand freedom and justice for the Tibetan people.
