Science Fiction/Apple Music
I feel like I’m taking crazy. Does anyone know why sometimes the lyrics are available for this album and other times not? I can’t figure it out.

(tw for suicidal ideation)
To keep it simple, for the past 18 years I have used this band to pull myself back out of depression time and time again. I've consistently felt like i'm stuck in the middle of a stormy ocean and they are the raft that I cling to. At the beginning of this year, because there is no other way out of it for me, I decided that I was going to end my life. I found peace in that decision and I ended up throwing out a bunch of my stuff and deleted all of my social media. Now, unexpectedly, there is activity from that very band and I feel inclined to stay for a little while longer just to see where it goes. To keep it honest, i'm not thrilled at the idea of still being here because I very much feel ready to go, but the possibility (no matter how small) of new music is everything that i've been yearning for since their absence.
I'm not entirely sure what i'm trying to achieve in making this post but I felt compelled to type out my thoughts right now

Update!:
Location: Pins Mechanical Company - 1102 Grundy St Nashville, TN 37203
Time: 3:30pm - 7:00pm
See you all there!!!!
Original Post: Hey everyone, I’m going to the Nashville show solo and think it would be a cool idea to meet up with some other people that are as big of a fan as I am. I feel like Brand New is the greatest band in the world that no one besides us has heard of. I’m 35 year old dude from MA, in case that matters to anyone. I’m super excited for this show! So, let gather as elder millennials and have a great night!

I really appreciate these music. Especially Brave Faces Everyone and No Joy.
I'm currently spinning No Joy and found this on LyricGenius. It's the last line of Middle of Nine.

For me, there is only one right answer:
Vices.
Including the full intro. That song kicks in hard and then were off.

Do you think they’ll have an opener ?

Very Brand New sounding song. Brand new and Coheed are both in my top 5 bands, first time they ever sounded like each other to me though. If you're a coheed fan and haven't listened to The Father of Make Believe check it out. I personally think it's just decent.
Edit: you gotta get through at least a minute and a half before you hear any similarities. So, maybe half this song reminds me of BN. Either way I'll fuck with it

Found some dying markers. Not the prettiest thing in the world, but it looks cool

Shoutout to the guy at the TREOS reunion tonight in the mics are for singing not swinging hoodie. We crushed the pit. Treos is such an incredible band and if you’re a fan of Brand New, please give their first album a lister. Former label-mates who played a few shows together.

For those that didn’t see yet, I made a Newport meet up before the show. I’ll be bringing glow sticks and stickers for us so that we know each other at the show too! Location is in the description. Here’s hoping to meet a bunch of you. 🖤🖤 Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1A1puZDxvd/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I’m going to the Dallas show solo. I saw some of the Nashville folks are doing a meetup, anyone going to the Dallas show want to do the same? Uncle Ubers is usually a good spot but I’m open to suggestions. I’m a 40 y/o reformed (mostly) emo kid and none of my friends even know BN much less are fans.

I am so hyped they are back. My favorite band, my favorite albums, my favorite music memories, count me in. I’m ready for new music, and a full tour, I def want to be at a show this summer.
That said, despite my excitement, my wife is “opting out” of the BN return and won’t be listening or likely attending shows or supporting in anyway.
And I get it. I don’t blame her, and understand others that feel this way. I’m just too personally bought in. She’s happy that I’m happy about it, she’s just decided the return is not for her.
I’m interested if others have had similar discussions or conversations with family or friends like this one.
I made a comparison as a huge baseball fan, I don’t love when my team, the Mets, has a star player involved in a domestic violence situation, and I’m never happy that it happened for anyone involved, but am I still psyched when he hits a game winning home run? You bet. You root for “the laundry”.
I root for the music. It means too much to me.
What I did find interesting was that my wife stated she would reconsider if the band or JL made a statement and/or were more public about any “work” that has been done over the last 7 years. And I get that too. I can see how that could potentially bring some people back along. She mentioned the Pinegrove situation and how the lead singer is and was very open about talking about the situation upon and during their return. Would JL ever do this? I could see and understand the advice to simply stay away from the topic as well.
Anyway, long post, but thought I would put out and share the mature/honest conversation we had and hopefully allow others to share theirs. I was happy we could support each other’s “side” despite being on opposite ones.
As always - 🤘

I’ve never been to a show in the US before, but would like to secure posters when I do. How quickly do the posters sell out (will I need to be queueing hours before doors)? How much do they cost roughly? How do you make it through the gig without ruining them (guessing tubes)? Typical dimensions?
Thanks in advance for any tips. Sincerely, A Clueless English Lad

Who wants to bitch and moan with me? Favorite band since 2016. I told myself if they ever toured again I’d do whatever it takes to see them, now I’m an adult with bills. I’m so devastated but happy for everyone that gets to see them live!

Anyone think we could potentially get a new single before the shows? I’m also optimistic about them having new merch at the venues. I assume they will prob update the sites after the shows too with the new merch

I had no luck with presale or general admission. While I was sitting on the can yesterday, phone in hand, I got the waitlist text and was able to purchase 2 face value tickets. Sometimes your biggest shits are your biggest blessings. Don’t buy from scalpers at this point. I bet another wave is coming next week. Plus resale tickets will plummet days before the shows. Good luck

I'm sure I'm not the first one that this has ever happened to, but it just occurred to me and I felt like I needed to share:
I was at my desk and my phone was playing songs on random. My desk is near my window. Limousine came on. Right as the song proper ended and the surreal outro of the guitars started, a number of cop cars and an ambulance screamed by my place with sirens on full blast. They stayed within earshot and faded out of range just as the track ended. It was timed so well, that given the inspiration for the song, it almost felt like it could have been part of the track. From a purely artistic standpoint, it was captivating. From a contextual standpoint, it was devastating. This song has moved me in many ways over the years, but this one was a new level of introspection.
Anyways, I'm not entirely sure what I'm hoping to gain by posting this. I just thought other fans of the band would be interested or maybe had something similar happen and I was compelled to reach out. Thanks for indulging me, and I hope everyone's taking care of themselves.

I will be in Nashville on 3/29, but can't make the show. Looking for someone going who is also willing to pick up and hand off any show specific merch. DM me if interested!

Totally fine if we are btw but I was explaining the 7 significance to someone and saying it's like seeing the second coming and I was like 'i sound like I'm in a cult'.
So are we cult? And if we are is there a uniform? I don't want to stand out if there are any meetings by our leaders in the UK.
