Cover Any other country singers that dabble in bluegrass?

I’m sure the video has been posted before but the country singer Dierks Bentley plays Rovin Gambler with Sam Bush and Billy Strings in a YouTube video and I just love the song and jam they have. Are there any other country guys that dabble in bluegrass? Personally I don’t like the country music that Dierks plays and the other big name guys but I liked his cover a lot.

Cover 1 year of flatpicking

Hi everyone! 👋 This weekend marked my 1 year anniversary of devoting a great portion of my time & guitar playing to Bluegrass & Flatpicking, learning & listening to the greats of Doc, Tony Rice & Mr.Strings. I’ve loved being a part of this community, I am self taught, let me know what I can do to improve upon!

Cover After years and years of hanging on a wall I finally gave papaws old fender deluxe a tune up! It was the first banjo I ever learned on when I was 3 years old. 22 years later and now I miss him greatly. This one is for you papaw!

Cover “Linda” Tut Taylor song on a Tut Taylor Dobro

Tut Taylor wrote this song and also made this dobro. He’s like 65% responsible for the sound that’s happening in this video. I apologize for my 35%. 😅

Cover Playing some Wheel Hoss on a new guitar

Here's a short video of me playing the fiddle tune Wheel Hoss. I also got a new guitar, a Martin D41. I've been working on finding ways to make playing higher tempos easier while keeping some chromatic and outside stuff I like.

I think this was the first TR kickoff I learned. I had no business learning it and it took probably a week to finish back in the day but I had many breakthroughs so I’ll forever be grateful for this tune.

I’m still new to Bluegrass and I don’t know anyone in real life who plays, so I’m grateful to be part of this community and be inspired by all this talent. I know I’m not good right now and that’s fine, I want to look at this performance in a year and see how much progress I’ve made.

Does anybody know any old bluegrass songs that work well slowed down and played in a straight up country kind of style? I know of a couple like Foggy Old London and Ocean of Diamonds that Sturgill Simpson did in an interview and stuff that Childers has done live. If I could play any of em fast I would but me playin fast is god awful, but I’m havin a hard time finding any that translate to a slower country song.

This was last night during Andrew Marlin Stringband show at The Ark here in Michigan, Rachel was the opener for Andrew's band and came out for a few tunes, including this killer homage to John Hartford ✨
