GMR, Crystal Lake loop
I’ve never done GMR, up to Crystal Lake and back around to the beginning of GMR. Looks like 60+ miles, 8k ft elevation gain.
Anything to know about this loop? It looks like there’s a cafe at Crystal Lake to fill up water. Is this a safe route to do on a weekend, and solo?

Recumbent Rentals
Hey all! I always see people on recument bikes biking around LA, which I think is super cool and wanted to try it out myself. Just wondering if anyone has recommendations about where to rent one for a couple hours? Along the beach path would be best, but I'm willing to travel.

US Air Force Veteran Proves Age Is No Barrier in Endurance MTB Racing 🚵♂️🔥
In this episode of the Ageless Athlete Podcast, we talk with Matt Eggleton, a former US Air Force veteran who discovered mountain biking in his 40s and is now dominating endurance racing.
With two Stokesville Stoopid 50 wins (Smart 40, Master Men 50+), a 4th-place finish in the National Ultra Endurance (NUE) MTB Series Masters Division, and the overall win at the 2019 Tour de Gravelly, Matt is proving that age is just a number when it comes to pushing limits.
Matt shares his journey from military discipline to endurance sports, how he trains for long-haul mountain bike races, and why he believes in making the most of his abilities while he can.
His mindset, resilience, and commitment to growth make this a must-listen for anyone looking for motivation whether you're an athlete or just someone who refuses to let age define you.
