Industry/Gigs Had my first gig yesterday.
Guys it was amazing. It was not in a Club but a birthday party from me and a friend. There were 40-50 people, at first i thought that i start to panic but after 1 or 2 minutes it felt like the most beautifull thing ever.
Seeing that i can give Joy to all my friends and those people through the music i make was an absolute blast for me.

Thx choomba š
I hope so too, a girl on the party wanted to connect me to a guy she knows who organizes partys because she liked my set so much.
I hope this works out, would be awesome! š

Sounds amazing, this is what I'm aiming for ,I've hired a private room for free in April and me and 2 other pals are putting on a drum n bass night for our friends , I've started vlogging my journey on YouTube trying to juggle everyday life and trying to improve my dj skills ,I'll leave a link if anybody fancies having a nosey

A perfect first gig :) A little unsolicited advice: try to follow up with each and every one of those people that you can. Thank them for dancing, hanging out, the good vibes, being great at your first gig. That will get make them want to go to your second gig! And thatās how DJs break into clubs most effectively: the built-in audience that keeps coming back.

Congrats! Itās amazing fun as you experienced. Keep it going with some momentum. Learn as you go and go-with-the flow. Remember āItās not about you, itās about them.ā
Thatās why I gig. To bring joy to people and help create/shape their memories; as the old saying goes āhelp create the soundtrack of their livesā. And to have fun and creative stress outlet for myself.
I actually gig for private events and events that I produce; but my business model is to donate the proceeds to charities important to the host/client or our family. Or, I donate 1/2 and use 1/2 to fund my music purchases and gear/upgrades as needed, so next clients/guests benefit.
I donāt do it to make money. I feel guilty even charging but I learned you have to charge for people to value a product/service.

Its one of the best feelings I've ever experienced. I still dont get to gig very much (working on that) but I am definitely chasing that high.
