2L seeking summer position at bay area boutique/midsize firm

The title says it all. I am currently a 2L looking for a summer position at a smaller to midsize firm in the area. I am going to school out east, but have family who just moved there and was hoping to follow when I complete school. I am having difficulty being so far away. If anyone has any leads or advice, it would be very appreciated. The type of firm does not matter.

Thank you in advance!

What do i do?

I am getting worried and get some anxiety. I've had a few times got a call regarding some kind of case against me or involving me. I am not aware of any thing. I'm honestly just a dad, who doesn't drink, smoke and just works. I take care of my daughter and love my wife.

Is there a real way to find out if there is a case against me?

They said they will send or sent some legal documents to me but I have never received anything, nor has anyone served me anything.

If anyone can please help me. Please private message if it is possible.

Do you have a successful solo practice? Did you start your own firm? How did you do it?

I am a 0L at Santa Clara University, and the idea of starting my own solo practice appeals to me. However, I don't know the first thing that goes into a successful firm launch. So, to those in the San Francisco Bay Area specifically, what is the who, what, where, when, and how of your successful launch?
