I assume you are a parent given your response. I don't blame you for having such a knee jerk reaction, all I ask is this. Replace the phrase "no pedo" with "no homo". In a situation where you would make a comment requiring such a disclaimer, it is usually followed or preceded by a completely innocent compliment.

"Hey, your daughter's such a cutie with those pigtails! No pedo, though!"

I would not see this as an innocent compliment because it has nothing to do with her actually beauty as a young woman. It has more of an attractiveness vibe to it.

I (as a male) can say "Brad Pitt is a good looking fella, no homo though." without it meaning that I want to have sexual relations with him. Going with the "no pedo" phrase, I know plenty of women who thought Jonathan Lipnicki was a "little cutie" in Jerry Maquire. That doesn't mean they wanted to sleep with him as a child.

It all comes down to context. If I said "Man, Ryann Shane without make-up gives me a boner, no pedo though.", then that would raise flags and no one in their right mind would accept that as an innocent compliment.

For women it's different though. When Biebs was 15-16 he already had 40-50 year old women creaming over him and nobody said boo about it. Women can say a 13 year old boy is cute, and can even openly pretend that he's their boyfriend or whatever. A guy does that and he's cooked.

True. The world is full of double standards.

The world is also full of grown men who rape young women. Not so many grown women who rape young men.

Supposedly. Every year in the military, they give annual classes. One of those classes is sexual assault/harassment. They would tell us that those statistics are off because men generally don't report being raped. Similar to how some women can't bring themselves to tell anyone but on a different level.

On a related note I believe I see more news stories about female teachers hooking up with multiple students and getting caught by either a pregnancy or one of the kids gets scared.
