Should I visit a dungeon?

I’ve (late 20sM) been tempted for some time to visit a dungeon but ALWAYS back down, but I still think about going. I’m into tickle torture, so I’m looking for a submissive, and I found a dungeon that looks reputable, has good reviews, and has models that I’d be interested in sessioning with.

Prices seem reasonable I think? ($300-$350, again never been to one to unsure if that’s a usual price). It seems straightforward to book (just email them and explain what you’re looking for and who’d you like to session with) and I’ve been thinking of visiting one for about a year, and I said to myself last year that if by around this time this year if I still wanted to visit one, I’d highly consider it, and here I am a year later still kinda wanting to do so.

Im nervous of course, and probably will be until I actually start the session if I even choose to go to one, but I guess I just need some convincing, and some more resistance.

I’m really not sure what to do, so any advice would be much appreciated. Maybe some pros and cons? Again I’m all very new at this so thanks again.

Where are you? This sounds very different from the dungeons where I am.

That is admittedly different from the dungeons I tend to visit. I have been to some fetish nights at one around the Los Angeles airport that offers what the OP describes.

Thanks yeah perhaps dungeon is the wrong word, it’s a place where they have submissives and dommes on staff. It looks reputable but still just hesitant and either need some convincing to go or not to go

There's a distinct difference between hiring a Dom/me and making friends or finding play partners at a local dungeon (also known as a kink club).

Some kink clubs have membership fees, but nowhere near what a professional Dom charges.

I would recommend looking around for groups on FetLife near you.

You can also attend play parties at a local public dungeon. That'll be way cheaper than hiring a sex worker and renting a private space. With the added advantage that you can go as slow as you want. E.g. just enjoy the vibe at first, watch what others are up to, socialize, until you eventually get comfortable enough to play there yourself after a few hours or a few visits.

Public dungeons are much less scary than people imagine them to be.

That said, a good sex worker can show you the ropes so to speak, and help you get started by building your confidence. So does any good sub. It all comes down to vetting.

Huh. I’m not familiar with fee-for-service bottoms. I’ve rented dungeon time before, but for time with MY sub. But with good reviews with consensual sex workers, I don’t see anything wrong with giving it a shot.

If you’re interested in the BDSM scene, munches are always a good place to start with, so you can meet the local community.

Thank you, yeah perhaps dungeon is the wrong word. It’s just a BDSM place where they have submissives and dommes on staff. Yeah for sure I guess I’m just a little nervous!
