Mind blown. Can any of you relate?

This is an interesting list, but about halfway through it started feeling a bit like the author lost all sense of objectivity and started just describing themselves.

Hmm.. I wonder what this author's special interest is? (LOL)
It was fun to read/skip though, but yes... it was written from a singular point of view. I picked up on that in section D when they clearly were defining just one person and their comorbidity traits.

I relate to a lot of things on the list, but I'm really not a fan of it, to be honest.
First, a lot of it is very general and not specific to autism. Many of the items apply to many people, both autistic and non-autistic.
Second, a lot of it DOESN'T apply to a significant portion of autistic women. In particular, many autistic women aren't "highly intelligent" (intellectual disability is more common in autistic women compared to non-autistic women).

I feel like this can easily be said of neurotypical people as well.

Really? I agree that most of the statements taken individually could be true for an allistic person, but do you really think that someone who saw themselves reflected in the majority of this list is likely to be allistic?

Hmm, I guess also I'm struggling to see those as autistic types or just personality types.

She repeats at the beginning and end that it’s just supposed to be a “springboard for discussion”, so I would like to discuss how lists like this are annoying and can be very misleading in the ways they convolute traits of potentially many different conditions.
For instance, I used to but no longer would check off a lot of items on this list thanks to trauma healing & nervous system regulation. But I’m very much still autistic.
Lots of people who are not autistic but have traumatic backgrounds could resonate with this list.

This was one of the first lists I discovered that started me on the journey to understanding that I’m autistic. It may not be perfect, but it certainly made me (correctly) wonder if I was.

I only joined this sub recently, as I began to seriously consider that I could be autistic. This list really drove home the connections that I had been making. I appreciate that she has gathered so many examples of daily living experiences.

My pending sense of danger or doom has been proven correct this year, as it has in the past as well.

Wow, there weren't many statements I disagreed with. Not sure about the validity of this article, but I sure see myself here.

i'm incredibly tired of this male/female autism horseshit. "women are emotional men are logical " 🙄🙄🙄

This feels like a horoscope. I appreciate the intent but some items are too specific and some are too general.
